I just read last night that this is purportedly featuring Ray Harris ("Come On Little Mama") on lead guitar as he apparently was on almost all of Jimmy's Sun output.
Jimmy Wages died in 1999. He was from Tupelo Mississippi, born in 1935. Was friendly with Elvis before Presley moved to Memphis - Elvis and Jimmy were in the same class.
He signed with Sun Records in the mid 1950s and recorded about 4 songs. He had a lot of women problems and reflected this in his songs. He was influenced by Moon Mullican and Arthur Crudup. He played guitar and piano and was also influenced by Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley - who were both friends of his - later on.
Wow! This is great.
