@Mrlastpak Alas it it being good at the moment =] but I have a smaller one on my jaw but that will be gone in a few days, the only one I have is one right smack dam under my tattoo on my back which wont pop it just hurts a lot :( maybe some time in the future.

@guyi2545 not at all the core is going to stay in tact no matter what you do all squeezing dose is make the inflammation worse for the moment but it gets the infection out a lot better than how you were doing it thus once the swelling goes down it's gone!

@guyi2545 Yeah i guess I could see how you might believe that but actually the core is pretty solid and it will come out as long as your getting under it the only thing that's going to make something like this worse is not disinfecting your hands before you squeeze this is really why infections tend to set in after popping a zit or cyst and why abscess's get worse. Further more it is really just zits and cysts that have cores abscess's are just big pockets of infection that deflate as u squeeze.

@xKINGkhanSRKx Sorry I took so long to reply..I was always told not to squeeze but i did, I had mine for about 3 weeks in total and after maybe a week and a half i decided to go at it which aggravated it and caused it to get that big...

Even though popping it was all fun and what not it kept playing up for about two weeks longer until i randomly popped it again and managed to get the core out but now i am left with a hole in my cheek, a hard area underneath and a scar...So I think let it be. =]

@xKINGkhanSRKx I would suggest u do a hot compresses 1 or 2 & let it come to a head then gently squeeze the pus out. Things to remember so u don't make it worse 1 always make a small pin hole at the hottest & highest point of the abscess to allow the pus to drain 2 slowly squeeze until u see more blood then pus once there is no more pus it is time to stop squeezing & last but most importent always disinfect the area and your hands before & after u drain to assure u don't spread the infection.

@xKINGkhanSRKx Incase ur wondering where this advice comes from I am a third generation RN my Granny was a RN for 20 years my mom for 15 years and I for 9 years now. I first learned this procedure when I had an abscess and I called my Granny to ask the best way to drain it. She told me this & since I have used it on friends & family alike with great results, You will never completely get rid of the abscess but you will drain it significantly relieving pressure & pain & increasing healing time.

it came back becuz he didnt squeeze it out properly. wen he squeezed it the 1syttwo time he didnt squeeze out the roots so it just grew bak.... squeeze it like a man and itll stop growing bak!!!!!!!!!

@queenbkeisha It got to the point where i was just getting blood, but believe it or not after it went almost all the way down when there was no swelling or stress on the skin it literally just exploded without any contact it literally while i was just sitting there went BOOM and the core came out or at least some of it.

That's the thing with these kinda cysts - they lie real deep under the skin. That's why surgeons have to remove the core, otherwise they just grow again.

@guyi2545 Nah, GPs won't do it. You should get a second opinion and ask to be referred to a surgeon. I've had two removed on the NHS so far and I'm due for a third op next month. I wish I knew how to stop getting these buggers.

They sell a product at the drug store. It works very good. It pulls the infection to the top. I think it is called "Boil ease" It is black and you put a lot on it and cover with a bandage. It has worked very well for me and my friends.

I reccomend against cutting in to that thing. It's on Guy's face here! Doc's leave cutting on the face to plastic surgeons for that reason. It doesn't mean there still aren't pus pockets. In fact, the face will have more, since they don't encapsulate around the cyst the same way. (I like cysts and the like waaaay too much! Research! lol) Anyway, keep drinking lot's of water, and if it's not improving within another week, back to the doc you go!

If you watch a few videos that users put up here that are surgically done by nurses/docs etc. you might gain more understanding about how a hard cyst forms and how to drain it effectively. At this point, it looks like you've got a hard knot of infected pus material above your drainage hole. I don't know if you can actually put a thumb on the outside of your face, and fingers inside, but if you could, that might break up the knot.

You may have to go to the center of the abscess and poke a good sized hole as something is blocking the contents that are still in there before it becomes a really bad infection...or go to doc and have him do it. that can leave a really bad mark and I would hate to see that on your cute face!
