  • Arcidi did 705 in 1985 at 290 lbs with one ply shirt from Inzer. He had a small injury at the time and stated he could kick himself in the head for wearing one while breaking 700.

This clown does it at 165 and many of you give him credit for this despite he is wearing a fabric crane to do so. I'm just laughing at how so many people call this weightlifting. This is a sideshow.

Feel free to post replies of dissatisfaction with my post. I'm sure there will be many on this thread.

  • @beyondonethousand Not a fan of multi I see. Yeah dude, I'm not crazy about it either, but to each his own I suppose.

  • Damn there's a lot of jealous haters out there. Good job joe

  • I imagine having 12" long arms helps him alot. I am 6' tall at 170 and have to move the weight a lot farther than the three inches he moves it. I also lift the weight off the rack and return it myself, doing this would greatrly lower his abilities.

  • to all you people talking shit he holds the record for shirted and raw so instead of insulting joe how about you get off your asses and go bench what he does

  • w/e man holding the record for bench doesnt mean shit i bet you anything there is a ton of guys out there the same weight or less that could beat the fuck out of him.

"I pick heavy things up & then i put them down" <----------------------AMAZING HOBBY & USE OF TIME! SOMEONE QUICK GIVE HIM A NOBEL PRIZE!!!

    lol what a joke.

  • @mreh5an Cool story bro. How is a sport that sees who can lift the most any different from one that sees who can run the fastest, jump the highest, or throw the farthest? And last time I checked, this is powerlifting, not MMA. Why do people always try to compare strength athletes to fighters? That's like saying Michael Phelps couldn't play golf for shit: who cares?

For your sake I hope that you're a troll.

  • @xjusticex2013x the only good three good reasons why anyone would really want or need to lift that much weight are; a) they want to be considered really tough, b) they are small in the pants or c) both.

I like to workout too, but i wouldnt put my joints through that much strain to bring my bench weight up. Plus id bet you anything he wouldnt be able to push anywhere near that weight without the vest.

  • @mreh5an You're missing the point completely. He isn't "working out," this is a legitimate SPORT. I don't get why people insist on marginalizing strength athletes and saying that they're immature or whatever; you could play that card with any individual in any sport, yet you choose him. "Why would anyone want to play football? Insecurities obvi." Who are you to judge him and say that he's vain? To me, it seems that you simply don't respect the work that goes into becoming an elite level athlete.

  • @xjusticex2013x And by the way, it's not a "vest," it's a bench shirt. If he intended on lifting raw, he wouldn't have competed in a geared federation...

  • @xjusticex2013x mreh5an is trying to say " I'm small, weak, my penis is 1.5 inches, and I project my envy through an outward front of aggression and condescending superiority. When I see people do things I never will be able to do and am very jealous of, I'm really sad on the inside because I realized that I will perpetually have sand inside of my vagina."

  • @XDSHo LOL! im 5 9 around 160 something pounds with a 32 inch waist 22 inch shoulders across and im pretty sure my dick is bigger than over 90% of the population of the men on this planet so go fuck yourself Goof. :P

and no my arms arent all that big; little over 15 inches, but my body is much more easthetically pleasing than that guy.

  • Imagine that gheyh5an was talking about Michael Jordan, just so we can illustrate the idiocy of his statement:

"the only good three good reasons why anyone would really want or need to average that many points per game are; a) they want to be considered really tough, b) they are small in the pants or c) both."

    Continued...

  • @XDSHo dumb ass I have a ton of respect for SPORTS and real ATHLETES, not some ugly proky looking faggots that just stuff themselves and pick things up and put them down. Thats the dumbest shit ever. playing a game is very different that picking an object up as a means of showing off.

  • @mreh5an dumb ass I have a ton of respect for SPORTS and real ATHLETES, not some ugly proky looking faggots that just jump a lot and throw stupid balls into fucking nets. Thats the dumbest shit ever. Lifting weights and self-improvement is very different that shooting a basketball as a means of showing off.

  • @mreh5an srsly dude, if that doesn't illustrate how fucking ridiculously unintelligible you are nothing will get through your impermeable immature and undeveloped skull. He's not showing off, he's competing in a fucking sport douchebag. People do not powerlift for OTHERS, THEY COMPETE FOR THEMSELVES. WHO THE FUCK SAYS THEY ARE SHOWING OFF? That case can be made for ANY SPORT. Oh look at the football player making a touchdown, just to show off. WTF? Get your head out of your ass.

  • @xjusticex2013x You know, to be completly honest with you you might be right. I dont think i ever cared that much about becoming an elite athlete..The truth is when it comes the anything that has to do with the body ive only ever cared about; health, physical beauty, enough strenght and skill to protect ones self. The protecting part isnt all that important seeing as how anyonre can easily be layed down nowadays

  • @mreh5an By the way, I didn't say you didn't care about being an elite athlete, I said that you don't respect the WORK THAT GOES INTO becoming an elite athlete. Big difference. No offense, but I have no reason at this point to even assume that you have what it takes to become a contender in anything.

  • @xjusticex2013x ...I specially dont respect ppl like this who put there there health and physical beaty on the line just to showoff that they can pick something up that the competitior cant.

1 exception: the olympics [drug free of course]

  • @mreh5an Again, they aren't fucking doing it to "showoff." You lift weights in powerlifting, don't be a moron. If you think they are showing off you're obviously jealous of something. And how is weightlifting any different? It's essentially the same sport with different lifts. Now, mreh5an, unless you would put up a video of you, yourself benching some weights with your spaghetti arms, you should really just learn how to...

  • @mreh5an Shut the fuck up. Understand that each time you attempt to articulate the intellect of any person within a 200 mile radius of your jargon-filled fingers is immediately compromised, because no single brain can withstand the sound of your constantly annoying and incessant "herp derp I don't understand logic I have an inferiority complex which manifests as little man syndrome" typing. Half the things you say contradict, you're absolutely NOT an authority on anything, you're...

  • @mreh5an blatantly jealous of a guy you never met and never will meet, for breaking a record which takes years of dedication and sacrifice to make. So before you decided to spew your feces on another person's accomplishments, realize that they are better than you in every possibly way, because they're not on youtube telling other people how they are wrong or doing things for the wrong reason, or that they are wasting their time (yet you are commenting on their videos lulz). Now...

  • @mreh5an Now you're likely going to reply to this, and I don't blame you, in fact since it's incredibly obvious that you must defend yourself and your un-existant manhood (as well as your personality complexes we discussed earlier) a response at this point is inevitable. But I would like you to know, I'm done here, so don't waste your time. Besides, the only people who care about what you are going to say don't even exists (similarly like your IQ points). In fact, I'm 100% sure anyone

  • @mreh5an that you know is tired of your nonsensical rambling bullshit, so you'd be better off going back to your boyfriends house and letting him gape your asshole. Suck it, hoser.

  • @mreh5an If you just want to be healthy, that's fine. It's not like I have a problem with that. But anyone who is good at what they can do is "showing off," no? And if everyone were to take the safest route just because it posed fewer risks, they would never get anywhere and lead a life of mediocrity. Powerlifting is recognized by the World Games under the IPF, too. If you can't bring anything to the table besides your own bias, you might want to reconsider posting.

  • Hmm he's set WORLD records in his weight class shirted AND raw. I know I've never seen a shirt bench 705 lbs. The person under the weight is still moving the weight.

  • You are THE loser. Everybody thinks your an idiot and most of all Joe Pizza. Go where a shirt yourself and lift with it. You will look like Frankenstein walking on stage. I just don't understand this....aren't these guys the least bit embarrassed walking on stage like that and THINK they are lifting weights?

Real men use their hard worked physique to show off their true strength. You my friend are not the man. Just a shirt-wearing clown who uses shirts for a good ol' fashioned ego boost

  • @faronsparker

So would this guy if he took 705 without a bullshit shirt. What's your point? This is not weightlifting if that's what you are thinking.

  • @faronsparker run out of things to say hey...king? ...being gay ur more like the queen. u r a pathetic loser and deep down u know im right.

  • @faronsparker cant u b more original than that.... anyway u said u was gay. double fail!!

  • @faronsparker

You're a glutton for punishment, I see. But you like that, don't you, twatwaffle. Can't get enough. It's why you roll around with sweaty guys every day at your badass MMA gym.

Do you boys compare your tribal tats after every session in the showers? I bet it's a real scene of manliness and fighting ferocity at your faggy MMA club. More like a jammer fest of epic proportions.

Want some more? I never tired of embarrassing little clowns like yourself. Please come back. Respond.

  • @faronsparker no thanks i have a girlfriend and i am not queer, maybe ur bent friends would like that

  • @faronsparker

But, yes, I will be sure to drive down from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to trade hands with you in a parking lot (or in your club's terrifying "open mat" groping sessions). Sounds worthwhile. However, you bring the post-match snacks, okay? Fucktard.

Perhaps instead of grinding your junk against other sweaty dudes all day you should take some courses to better your writing skills. Just an idea. Your writing is embarrassing, bruh.

You just keep losing. But come back for more!

  • @faronsparker

After 26 years lifting weights, my 295 sure as shit ain't fat. Not lean like when I was a competitive bodybuilder, mind you. Anyway ... You have trouble understanding what you read, don't you? Poor fucker.

Newark, huh? I thought you trained at Westside alongside all the other "legends". Oops.

OOh, nelly, you train MMA?! So you're another Tap Out warrior, are ya? You must be a lethal weapon! Tell me, do you also have tribal tats on your upper arms?!

  • @faronsparker u said it ...people like u stop it from being a credible sport, u just admitted that ur homosexual and u lift weight becuase u think its gay and u like being around other men. good luck to u cos it sounds like u need it.

  • @faronsparker

You know nothing, clearly. I won the heavyweight division of the USAPL Ohio state championships several years back when I lived south of the Canadian border. Skinny? A drug-free 295 is far from skinny. I am with a year of raw and drug-free squatting 700. How 'bout you, champ?

Westside is legendary, sure, but this doesn't make YOU a legend, bucko. Cool your heels.

Don't have the stones to say this shit to your face? Yeah, you're so scary. What a joke.

  • @faronsparker

Well, my raw press is bigger than yours, and drug-free, to boot (we all know your Westside guys are juice monkeys), so if this makes me a pussy, I, sir, am the hottest pussy going.

P.S. Funny your "no balls" comment. I mean, with your use of the "supps", I'd wager it is you, wimp, without the testicular mass.

    I win.

  • @faronsparker

Gee, I wouldn't have guessed you are a Westside devotee (re: sarcasm). Know Louie well. Interviewed the man several times over the years (as well as Dave Tate, etc). Equal parts the best thing that has happened to powerlifter and the worst.

Never said a raw dude can automatically increase his bench two or more hundred pounds. But look at you: in a year's time you are trying to press TWO HUNDRED extra pounds! That's alarming.

  • @faronsparker

Wow, you really are ... dumb. And rude. Ronnie Coleman could out-press a majority of the so-called "bench specialists" if they were to bench raw as he does. Let's not confuse things: The multi-ply guys, after periods of training in the gear, add anywhere from two to four hundred pounds to their lifts. Fact.

How many men have pushed over seven hundred, raw? Officially. One. Oh, and Mendelson didn't pause his rep, either, so, for all intents, it, too, wasn't "official".

  • @faronsparker i dont wear shirts and all the other suits because i think its a contradiction to strength training and powerlifitng and strong man. if u cant lift a weight by ur raw power then why go and suit up and take steroids so u can , that doesn't make much sense to me .without suits and all the rest of it some of these people would have very impressive strength anyway. suiting and juicing just doesn't count in my book. and this is whys powerlifting will NEVER be an Olympic sport. very sad

  • Pathetic. Powerlifting has become an embarrassment because of shit like this. No excuses. This is lame.

  • @TheTrueFortress absolutly agree..when i go to a meet and lift i compete against people in benchvests, squat suits n dedlift suits..its gutting noin that the sport u love has gone so pathetic and pointless....sometime i wonder why i bother

  • @tomlennon1000

Yep. I wanna total, raw and drug-free, one of the greatest totals ever within the next several years. Well on my way. But you know what? When I do, no one, except for the very select few who have a clue (even within powerlifting circles), will acknowledge the feat. Why? Well, it won't be 2700 pounds or some shit weighing 138 pounds (ha, ha).

Keep at it, though, brother. Never let the bullshit get you down. All the best to you.

  • @TheTrueFortress thanx man...nice to see some people are keepin the true meaning of strength alive

  • would, because some dipshits out there are actually convinced this isn't as fucking lame as it gets? What's next, high jumpers using step stools?

  • Here, let's give you this retarded apparatus that will allow you to press an exponentially larger amount of weight than youmnormally

  • He just looks like an idiot here. Not a champion. Five days later the bar touches his chest. If anybody disagrees here and tells me ....."what have you done" or "Joe is a real champ" don't waste your time. Take your opinion an blow it out your ass. This guy is an embarrasement to lifting.

  • Umm, Nah. The World Record Means THE "WORLD" Record. That Is Why It Isn't Named The World Record Bench In The Weight Class Of 165kg. Come On Man. Ronnie Coleman Can Bench Him. But Goodjob Though

  • wtf that was the longest hold EVER. these judges suck...

  • i knw him he this girl in my class uncle hes jacked

  • haters gonna hate.

it isnt raw. So what, hes not competing against raw benchers here.

Plenty of utube raw bench meets to watch if thats what turns ur pissy little crank.

Take steroids out of the raw meets and see what the numbers are.

it is what it is, a shirt meet.

  • ummmm your deadlift is like most peoples power cleans.... and Larry Luckett was one of those 148ers... also his 700lb squat and 600 deadlift to go with it, but that was almost 20 years ago...

  • did it even touch his chest? it was moving around at the press!

  • I benched 415 raw @ 208lbs, but I am also 6ft tall... sooooo impress me. I trained with 148'ers that bech 400+... raw, soooo impress me. What is the psychology of someone who can gimmick a lift, and feel proud of it like the shirt didnt kick in over 200lbs of that.

  • @MrOnceinside

Im sure you benched 415 @208 just like everyone else on here. I would like to know the names of your 148er friends who bench 400+ raw.

  • if its not a raw bench it isnt a bench.. these guys are jokes. no way a man can out bench what world recordholders squat this is stupid and why powerlifting is seen as a joke!

  • @MrOnceinside

Joe Mazza also holds the record 165 raw bench at 488 pounds. World recordholders squat more than 700 pounds equipped, and more than 700 pounds raw just so you know.

  • shirt adds 200lbs...wow...he has no legs..lol

  • This guy looks like an idiot. Do you honestly call this sharade weighlifting? That shirt looks ridiculous. I'm sure raw this guy is still strong but this is what I call "sideshow weightlifting."

  • whats his height btw?

  • raw is great, but it still takes an immense amount of training that u cant even comprehend healthhavencom, just because you got a shirt doesnt turn 705 into light weight

  • The only lifts that matter are 100% raw.

    Bench shirts are retarded.

  • @healthhavencom I might would've agree if he didnt put over 440 on raw bench lol

  • still havin a hard time figuring out what the song is if anyone can help

  • Great job joe! amazing bench! whats the song called by the way anyone know?

  • wonder if that huge guy hugging him in the end could do that =p

  • @muzimuzi LOL that "huge guy" at the end was the all time world record holder for a while years ago. 1005 pound bench I believe. (Gene Rychlak)

  • thats a shit ass rep lol

  • I GUESS YOUR POUND FOR POUND RAW IS IMPRESSIVE

  • I GUESS YOUR POUND FOR POUND RAW IS IMPRESSIVE LOL TURD AND HIS 487.5 WHICH WOULD BEEN ALL TIME RECORD WAS CLOSE AND WAS GLAD TO SEE IT IN PERSON GREAT LIFTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I GUESS YOUR POUND FOR POUND RAW IS IMPRESSIVE LOL TURD

  • HIS RAW IS JUST AS IMPRESSIVE

  • no its not, its like 250 lbs less, yea 250 fucking pounds thats a joke

  • god I hate powerlifting now. all it is about nowadays is who can fit into the tightest shirt.

  • what is with all that gear? can he do that without the freaky backpack and shirt?

  • hooolllyyyyyyy shit.
