Synthpop is a genre just like rap, country, jazz, and many others. They have their own talent besides DM. In my own opinion(synthpop played a major role for every artist) I am just disappointed that synthopop is the most underated music/genre. Never played on the radio.

Ya dejen de decir q todos los grupos de musica electronica son copias de depeche mode camouflage tiene un sonido similar pero no es lo mismo y tengo entendido q salieron a la par este es un movimiento y es electronico es logico q estas bandas tengan la misma base musical pero su estilo es diferente es como las bandas de rock larga vida a la electronica (moenia, depeche mode. de/visiom, camouflage , and more)

This does not sound like Depeche Mode, and I love Depeche Mode. This is good, but it's not even the same style. Coming from someone who listens to an array of metal, goth rock, industrial, synthpop, new wave, etc. I can safely say that this can easily be related to a well known band like Depeche Mode to those who don't listen to a lot of varying genres which are similar to this. Other than that, their music sounds distinctly different to me.

I agree 100% PyreAnkh, De/Vision is indeed their own thing. So many people think of "Enjoy the Silence" by DM and think that anything that is even remotely similar means the band is ripping of DM. If people want to get truly technical - there is only a single unique artist for every genre of music - whoever did it first. After that, everyone is just following suit.

If you listen to DM they-particularly in their classic stuff tend to use 8th notes at the rhythmic heart of their music. De/Vision most often has 16th notes perculating which give a completely different feel and approach to rhythem. Now, it is true that their lead vocals occupy the same timbral range.
