  • Best. ANd this video of lonely swan is great :).

  • Is someone humming during the recording?

  • @raphael18ify

    It's Glenn Gould himself)

  • @raphael18ify yes, if you watch and listen to all Glen recording you will find that he is humming.

  • Surely Bach was delighted with Venetian music, it sounds extremely fresh even today

  • This concerto was the piece that first indroduced me to Glenn Gould and Bach. I'm eternally grateful and I'll always love this piece. Brings back memories. (Okay, of like 5 years ago when I was 8 or so, but still)

  • Mesmerising

  • I love how he really makes the voices of the left hand really sing. Brilliant :)

  • Gould, hace que su piano suene a oro."A Midas touch."

  • Listen to the recent version played by Alexandre Tharaud. Glenn is beaten on this one, no doubt. But the recording of Alexandre Tharaud is also much better on a technical standpoint.

  • GG's humming makes it more daunting

  • Bravo!!!!!

  • Glenn Gould ... the best interpretation of bwv 974 for me

  • Wonderful interpretation. Has a real baroque feel and very meditative. I love it. Thanks, Glenn Gould! You really feel music.

  • You can hear him humming

  • @betelgeuseaml silence, in the shrine of beauty, is beauty ...

  • Because of this music, I forgive the human race ...

  • @docoftheworld Thanks, we forgive you, too

  • This is so beautiful.

  • Гениально на все времена!!!!

  • 10 stars for this genius.

  • @ekreh For these geniuses. Bach and Gould. We can thank God for their being.

  • @silencesings Don't forget this is only a transcription from the oboe concerto in d minor by Allessandro Marcello. Give the poor guy some credit too ;-)

  • @thinkermanmusic I did not know it in details :( But thanks for Mr Marcello too for this beauty :)
