  • WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THIS!!!DID BUY THE CD.IT IS GREAT!

  • I would love to see James Barbour, he's phenomenal

  • ooohhh... this is "Broadway"???

Excuse me, i don´t speak english a lot... I´m from Argentina... and "Drácula, The musical" is other... is better... check this video (copy and past next link) .youtube.com/watch?v=4yzOMTu3ImA I´m composer and producer here, in my city,. And my eyes can see that "our" Drácula is best! for me is a surprise this... but "our" Drácula have a better production, better music, and better actors!!!

Excuse me... only check the video!!!

    please, answer my comment

  • Do you have the full show to trade ? Also in this the only english dracula version ? or has it been done by a different cast ?

  • el musical dracula argentino es el mejor de todos!!!

  • @ferdie2001 En Buenos Aires? Cuando se termine?

  • The German one is much better. Here the actors don't correspond their roles at all!

  • think it sounds much opera like :) but if i'll ever be in new york i definitely watch every musical :D

  • @MelanieOSullivan It was a great play. The stage was rigged with a LOT of trap doors and there was even some in-flight singing which was very impressive. As I recall Dracula rises into the air like a bat at the end of Life after Life.

  • @TheBratKingJareth that sounds awesome! i havent seen it in german yet, only some vids here, but i think that broadway-version will be extremly impressive, like youve said :) thank you, now i really want to go to NY :D

  • ist great but i prefer the german version.

  • Even though I LOVE Dracula the Musical...I can see, why it was no success in the US....it's just not the same.

  • i think the Graz Finale is much more moving and I'm glad that that's in German so I don't understand the words. anyway thx for posting this to give a glimpse of what the bway one looked like.

  • @MUSICALANGIE As an American I don't understand German. I prefer knowing the words because that's half the song, and the words are important, they have meaning. Listen to the English concept album version if you can find it. It's a better version of the ending. If you need the English lyrics I know them.

  • @TheBratKingJareth

There are videos on youtube though that show the German version of the musical with English subtitles. You should really look it up, it is beyond amazing!! This version is great, but for me it just doesn't compare. I'm a huge fan of Thomas Borchert, so I'm a bit biased, I'll admit that ;)

  • When I heard the concept recording, I didn't know how this show could've flopped in America, but I think James Barbour and Kate Shindle were an ideal cast that cannot be replicated. All though, the German version is fabulous.

  • I'm honestly not too fond of her voice. I think Kate Shindle is much better for this part.

  • This may be the best score by Frank Wildhorn, however, it may have done better if James Barbour was casted in it. Tom's voice is only fair.

  • wow! and how come this musical didn't last long on broadway???? if they bring it back i'd love to see it!!

  • fingers crossed it will come to the west end, i think it will do really well there. the reason why this didnt last long was mainly the rock sense in the music, the lyrics and the cast, the critics despise frank wildhorn. but i love this musical as much as anyone else....its a shame really, i would love to see this aswell lolzz

  • @tjonesmusicman It wasn't that short. It lasted a lot longer than Lestat. It ran for six months.

  • Great musical i must admit.

I really hope they bring it to london.

    But they proberly never will

  • well aparently (hearing it from a source.) because dracula is out for rental, if it does well in london they will bring it here!! i hope so!!...im doing this next year!! woop woop!! :D x

  • I thought Elizabeth Loyacano played Mina or did she understudy her?

  • his speaking voice fits the part!

  • it´s beautiful, but i think german is much better, because of Thomas Borchert

  • Of course, I agree with you. Wthout the Graz version, I won't have interest to search for the Broadway one.Thomas Borchert is a perfect Dracula.Pity youtube don't allow posting the Graz proshot, maybe according to the copyrights.

  • @Elinne3230 German version is full here on YT

  • @TheFreakyVamp no they cut off the ending

  • @mouw108 especially because of the special duett between dracula and van helsing... zu ende it's great and I think it's only in the Graz version!

  • @mouw108 I saw this live on Broadway in 2004. I had perfect seats. Centre front row. Unfortunately Tom Hewitt bit into a blood capsule that squirted and it hit my mother's shirt. It was really funny. It was a fantastic play. I wish they would release the English language concept album.

  • Do you have any more clips like this? With Tom Hewitt and Melissa Errico? I really really love this musical, always singing the songs, and I really want to see the seduction scene between Mina and Dracula with these two. Do you have it, and if so, can you upload it? Please, please, please? Thank you for posting x

  • I love this musical

    Thank you for posting

  • Mit einem Schwert? Oder Messer?!

Geht das nicht eigentlich nur mit einem Holzpfahl?

    Zumindest in Graz ?

  • With a knife. German version is different from English the one

  • @Elinne3230 Only the Swiss version at St. Gallant used the spear. Graz went back to uing the knife, although they dumped the whole turning to dust thing - but you've seen Graz right? :) I can't help but laugh evey time I see the look on Jesper Tyden's face when he walks in on Leichty holding Borchert's body. He's like "You slut!" lol

  • @MadameChristie the Graz is the only one i've seen (video, not live) and it looked more like an ordinary love (triangle) story to me, and i actually like that. i'm glad that the Graz version doesn't have too much horror or blood. Thomas' Dracula is sometimes just like a person yearning for love and that indeed moved me.

  • @MUSICALANGIE Agree with you completely
