I have always identified w/ the French national anthem as it has so much meaning and passion. I was born in the U.S. of Spanish (Spain) parents & thought myself 100% Spaniard..until last summer,in Spain, I discovered via genealogical records, that my great grandfather (father's side) was a Frenchman who settled & opened a machine shop in Barcelona; I was overjoyed that I have French blood because I always admired French history, French culture and esp. the beautiful anthem!
