Assad's forces have crushed the insurgents who infiltrated Damascus while the Arab League observers were around. Soon as they left, the insurgents were brought the fight they begged for.

Good, they deserved to be slaughtered for luring the Syrian military into neighbourhoods where innocent children, and women are living their lives, so that they can be caught in the crossfire, their sacrifice used as propaganda by the insurgents in Syria calling themselves "FSA"

Using the USA's new economics metrix, the fighting will have to get much worse in Syria before they will be in danger of slipping into a recession. While we are at it, I think the USA's economic metrix states that Iran is currently in a period of prosperity with 1.5% inflation. We wouldn't want to use the simple economic text book metrix because then these economies might be in shambles. The USA's NEW economic measuring tools have saved us all from depression and by keeping us from reality.
