i loved sorrento - from people watching at the weekend, while sipping my espresso in the square to climbing up Mount Vesuvius just accross the bay of naples & would love to go back :)

Ah you lucky one. It will be VERY hot and the beaches crowded ... Italians take their holiday in August. However, male or female, there will be a lot of exposed skin on the beach. Have a slice of pizza for me. Thanks for your post.

I am going to Sorrento next summer holidays with my mum,dad and brother, can't wait to go! Most of the hotels were nearly fully booked already for next august, we did manage to get the last 2 rooms avalible at the Hotel Bristol... we havent told my brother how hot it can be in august (he hates heat) but the rest of our family dosent like cold, thanks fr posting this :D

Hi, thanks for the post. As you may or may no know, August is when most of the Italians close up shop and go on vacation. "Festa d'Agosto" or something like that. Enjoy and bring lots of sun lotion. The view should be great looking on the beach and at the mountains.

Hi, Well, the flags are similar. The Irish flag is green, white and orange. The Italian flag is green, white and red. Perhaps the colors are a little faded. BUT believe me, it is the Italian flag.

Yes, as you should be. Sorrento is a great place to visit. The main piazza has a lot of activity. Just put on lots of lotion. The sun is very hot there.

I love looking at videos of places we've been. Have visited Sorrento many times - Nice video - even recognised Maria Carmen behind the counter in the Ice cream shop!.
