Thanks! We love our Featherman scalder. Still using an old plucker until it dies- then getting a Featherman! This video always amazes me- 20 seconds is amazing. Humbling though. Joel can gut seven or eight in the time I can do one!

Chris - Chopping off the head traumatizes the nervous system. Severing the carotid arteries immediately drops the blood pressure (unconsciousness) without interrupting heart and lung function. The birds bleed out better, it's more humane and, for those who care, it's a biblical imperative. Thanks for asking, it's an important issue.
