  • i consider we won that war. if we had stayed vietnam would've become a democratic state. but do to those damn protesters we were pulled out early and the communist took vietnam

  • @thegrimreaper541 That's hardly a win...the US went over there, killed a bunch of people, had a bunch of it's people killed gained no ground, left and then the south got crushed like a beer can. America neither really "won" or "lost" that war...at best they left in a stalemate situation.

  • its sad that they got overruned and some got executed. that frazier guy is very lucky he didnt die.

  • War portesters are unpatriotic worms, We had good reasons for being in Both Korea and Vietnam. Children of Vietnam protesters, look at videos and news reports of north korean defectors and see what your parnets did to south vietnam people who fell to Commie's and their rule.

  • @GeassKnight1 Yes, the reasons for going to Korea and Vietnam was to fight the big bad red menace...Makes total sense the US should be gallivanting around the globe, picking sides and jumping into foreign internal civil wars. Kind of ironic really, the US fought so hard to keep the British and other European nations out of it's own internal civil war, but seems to think it alright to shove itself into other peoples civil wars.

  • @ZarathustrasCrown Civil War. no no no, A civil war is when people of the same conutry fight eachother. While the people of North and South Vietnam spoke the same language, shared the same culture, and had the same hoildays, North and South Vietnam's people lived differnet lifes, had differnet goverments, and different ideas. The Vietnam war was in no way, shape, or form a civil war.

  • @GeassKnight1 If that's true then the US civil was couldn't be called a civil war either...the Southern confederacy considered itself its own country. They spoke the same language, shared the same culture, had the same holidays but had different lives. The south even had their own currency...So which is it, is a nation fighting with organized secessionists like the US, Vietnamese or Korean war "civil war" or not? And if not, give an example of a "real" civil war.

  • @ZarathustrasCrown WRONG AGAIN, The northern and southern state was one to began with so therefore a civil war, North and South Korea and Vietnam was sperated from the beganning so again Vietnam was not a civil war.

  • @GeassKnight1 Indeed they were one before the war began...just as Korea and Vietnam were one nation prior to THEIR civil war. You did know that Vietnam used to simply BE Vietnam, there was no "north" or "south"...It may be worthwhile to look into the history of that nation before commenting on it, Vietnam had been one single nation since it split from China in 938 AD, it was simply "Vietnam" up until the expulsion of the French in the 1950's. The same holds true in Korea

  • @ZarathustrasCrown unified by land yes, however nothing else, like for us it was a civil war because when the south seperated they were just like the north, North and South Korea was still different in goverment and life for that it was not a civil war.

  • @GeassKnight1 Vietnam and Korea were both unified by land AND by politics...Vietnam had a national monarchy, there was quite literally a Vietnamese royal dynasty with authority over the entirety of Vietnam. There was also a Korean sovereign starting with the Silla dynasty under king Munmu. The entire nation of Vietnam AND Korea were both independent sovereign nations...There WAS no "north" or "south" Korea or Vietnam, they were just "Korea" and "Vietnam", TWO independent nations.

  • i wish people would show stuff like this insted of the bs the tell people ... that war was won ..

  • I am proud to say that i am a friend and golfing buddy of Capt. Dan Fraizer. A heck of a nice man and a great American.

  • check the tags out lol, i sure think this is some romantic music

  • Actually the NVA & VC were almost completely destroyed. The US airforce could have toatally destroyed all North Vietnam capital and cities but that would force Vietnamese people to further support communism. So due to the Media's one sided reporting it caused the american people to stop support for war.

  • @bobisnohere1 too right mate, the media needs to leave it alone, im not saying bury the truth i mean know what to broadcast.

  • @MontezumaUH60

Americans did lose many persons KIA etc. This was a difficult war ie guerilla tactics, VC not wearing uniforms and murdering their own people, if support was not given. Killing fields of Vietnam, Cambodia, and N Korea were sadly a reality perpetrated by a genocidal Marxist / Communist military.

  • @bobisnohere1 The north vietnamese wern't any more genocidal than the americans. Ho Chi Mihn wasn't a dictator driven by superior racial beliefs like pol pot or hitler. He just believed in communism. When the war was lost the captured south vietnamese soldiers wern't murdered, they were just reëducated to become good communists. War is hell and bad things happen but that doesn't make it a genocide, and look at what a beautiful country vietnam now is...

  • @Hanske90 you are wrong Ho chi mihn doesn't belive in communism. He only accepted it because he needed china support. After Tet he knew they won't last much longer without foods & supplies so he made a deal with the Russians this made China angry. After the War Vietnam was no longer communism & cut all ties with China & Russia, thus is why ppl said this war was fought in vain.

  • AMAZING!!! My uncle was in Vietnam and took part in the Tet offensive

  • Vietnam war was war for money, military industrial complex made a bundle.

  • u know what ur a filthy facist raceist pig man mexacans just fuck ur self fuk u how bout nuking ur dumb ass no how about using anti matter to blow up ur ass antimatter makes nukes look like firecrackers justkeep ur shit to ur selfs

  • I stand corrected. There is one creature more nefarious and heinously stupid than the Mexican - and that is your garden variety religious fanatic, ie; Jews, Arabs, etc.. And yet, do "U.S." Marines still guard the Saudi Arabian embassy? Incredibly one dumb sob here said, "ok so the jews are in control of the U.S. mass media... so what" Of course, he failed to mention theyre also in control of the U.S. CONGRESS. "so what?". This... is sheer ignorance at its height. Education is failing in the U.S.

  • @zintoit Preach your psycho blaber non-sense elsewhere, we don't give a shit. Were not hear to learn, this documentary show is more for entertainment purposes rather than educational. All your gonna get from Youtube users is ignorant retorts like "you dumbass, you racist, you redneck, cracka'," If you feel so strongly about your beliefs, do something more than just logging on to Youtube and ranting, take your rants to the streets, like I said no one here cares!

  • @4everUSNavy the best way to avoid war is to attack ignorance. Mexicans are a good example: I am not aware of a more complacent, filthy, racist, corrupt and ignorant people on the planet than mexicans. They reproduce without any consideration of the dire consequences of over-population. So yeah, you're right tech has limitations. Currently, mexico is engaged in a racial war against the U.S. but what to do about it? I'm in favor of "Nuking" Mexico first, gambling casino's second.

  • @zintoit leave the casino's out of it but I agree with the rest

  • @4everUSNavy As a peacetime intelligence army vet I can tell you I'm so glad to have never faced combat because the army is just flat-out "Lame". Actually I did face combat but it was with my inner demons. As such, I wasted 3 years of my life and lost all veap benefits to boot. I lost veap benefits because while I tried to drown those little hairy inner demons in booze... the little bastards learned how to swim.

  • Its ridiculous that american soldiers are dying in afghanistan considering technology is available that could nullify american casualties.

  • @zintoit

dude tech is doing its job. we have lost just over 5,000 people in the 10yrs we been fighting. in WW1 you lost that many in 1week. WW2 in 2weeks, and in vietnam a 3months.

no amount of technology will replace boots on the ground. so it could be a lot worse so it isnt ridiculous

  • btw... if the u.s. soldiers had had high powered flame throwers.. there would have been fewer casualties.

  • @zintoit um.... we did
