I'm a former Overnite employee and currently working with UPS Freight. We still have a few 17 series Volvos on our yard right now, still running strong...I miss Big "O" too, they took care of us and treated us like a family, at UPS, your just a number...

My Grandfather was a Road driver out of Overnite's Philadelphia terminal. For 25 years my grandfather ran from Philadelphia to Gaffney, SC back to Greensboro,NC then to Rocky Mount, NC then to Danville,Va and back to Philadelphia,Pa. Overnite was one of the best trucking companies hands down! With a very good equipment maintenance program, they had the sharpest looking tractors in this country. I will always miss that blue and gray with the big Overnite Transportation Sign!

I suspect Leo is long retired! This seemed to capture the spirit of Overnite prior to acquisition. It was a fun project to work on. I wrote the song lyrics based on real comments from employees.
