It's by Robert Heinlien(sp). It was about Humans against a race of BUGS and THAT much of the book they kept, but the humans were supposed to be in BIG armor suits and the sexes were separate into Ground forces for men and the women drove the spaceships---and were bald. It was NOT the 90210 portrayed in the movie. It was more like Halo I guess. It was written in the 50's so it influenced a LOT of sci-fi---Gundam for one, among others.

The only issue with Peter Jackson trying to direct it, is that he doesn't want to direct it. He doesn't like those huge levels of violence that Halo depicts sometimes, and would undoubtedly display in the movie. He wanted to change canon to better fit his needs, and obviously a Halo movie can be done. They're just never gonna hop to it.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a fan of Halo, but this trailer is an incredibly groundbreaking idea. You could almost think of these and the Halo 3 trailers as fourth wall shattering, immersing both real people into the universe, and the universe into our own world, making it seem incredibly real.
