@danielhs11 Sort of. The tune certainly came from his arrangement of Rock Me Baby. By the time Jimi died, Lover Man had evolved into an incredible tune with some mind blowing guitar parts... Ref: Jimi Plays Berkeley or Woodstock or Isle of Wight
no one is having a good time except the three dudes trippin' in the front. id very much like to be a fourth member of their wolfpack. this is incredible

There is a six minute Version that is so much better... I can only find it in mp3 format ... it says 'live at berkeley ' but seems to be a studio recording. Anyone found it on youtube yet? In the beginning hwndrix tells the band how he's gonna do he intro by singing it real fast.

Wow. Just, wow. This should properly be credited as the Jimi Hendrix Experience, as both Mitch and Noel are there. Those guys made a lot of noise.

An excellent early version, he starts out singing Rock Me Baby and hasn't yet included Flight of the Bumblebee in the guitar solo, Love this concert!

@rhythmrancher hi,do you know what concert jimi played flight of the bumble bee in?i heard it many years ago,and im unable to find on youtube.thanks
rambriggs 6 months ago
@rambriggs 1970 is when he started including it, so Berkeley, Isle of Wight and I believe most live versions with Mitch & Billy as his rhythm section
