Oh and yes it can be 1967 because even at this time Syd was becoming increasingly errotic and unpredictable. I have a Syd Barrett tribute issue of Uk's Uncut and according to the interviews, the strange behavior of not showing up to gigs, walking off of stage randomly, not coming to practice, etc, etc started in very early '67.
mm-hmm :) thats correct...poor syd :( the acid transformed his mind a lil too much...apparently the song 'bike' from the 1st album shows the beginning of the signs of syds downturn...thanx for ur comment btw :)
tesfan4evr, While Syd may or may not have been becoming increasingly erotic - who knows - he was a sexy guy, I think you meant to say ERRATIC. Best Freudian slip EVER!
It's sad that the only song on this album Syd Barrett wrote was Jugband Blues. That was such a sad song, too. Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun is an amazing song! I hear that Roger got these lyrics from a Chinese poem or book or something. Just like Syd Barrett used a book for the lyrics in Chapter 24. RIP Syd and Richard.
at 1:31, that is a picture of dave, no doubt about it. its jan-june 1968. it sounds like syd on gtr though, cuz david has a distinct sound, even when he plays the gtr on the floor. not sure....
If you look at the copyright date it was written in 1967. Gilmour has said that there are two guitar parts (himself and Syd Barrett) on the original record, but I only hear one.
1968, not 67.
