  • People are really sending 2,000 text messages a month?! that's insane. Even when i had unlimited texting i wasn't texting more than 500 a month if that.I'd rather just call someone....i guess i'm old fashioned...

  • What's wrong with these 13 not likers ??????

  • did you know...human beings will all have microchips in their bodies in the year 2050...the government fearing they escape from their cages?

  • @mrboycom

Economics is a social science, it doesn't 'care' about anything. It is simply the study of incentives and human behaviour.

In the same way physics is the study of the natural world, wheather it be atomic bombs or space exploration.

Labour is only a small part of economics, however what you mentioned is true. One of the basic assumtions of economics is 'people are selfish' but this just mean you optimise any situation - generally.

    Hope that helped :)

  • @sal0212 economy has nothing to do with social science you obviously dont know what social science is its the study of humans behaviour within society sociologists are social scientists not economists they look at financie within a society rather than looking for scientifical evidence of something. they do not approve or dispproving facts which is what science including any science is about.

  • @MTCoblivsicas12345

Economics is not about finance, its about incentive

    Punctuation helps! :)

  • @MTCoblivsicas12345 If you ask any student who has taken a course in economics, if the first thing they learnt was the phrase "economics is a social science", most would answer yes, economics is a branch of social science which looks at how to allocate scarce resources/how scarce resources are allocated. To claim economics is not a social science is to claim the study of the brain is not a branch of biology

  • @MrPain331 hmm i see your point seems though it is a study about people choose to use resources but i did say they look at financie within society including resources.

  • awesomee.........all the info provided is really mind boggling

  • we truly are living in a heck of fun society and yet sometimes i feel like i need more change

this the whole world got so much bigger faster and more operational

  • teenage americans send 2272 texts each month? 2:19 - 2:20

Here in Philippines we have this unlimited texting promos so we are able to text as much as we want almost without paying.

I send 250-350 texts every day. And so do most of Filipino teens.

  • great hints!

  • it's a great video.

  • What a fantastic vid! You people totally rock.

  • Anybody know what song is in that video?

  • It's in the credits at the end of the video

  • Thanks

  • Very interesting, but much too speedy. It was impossible for all those conclusions to make their way inside my head in such a short time.

  • Well, we live in speedy times, get used to it :)

But you'r right, had to use the play/pause-Button on almost every single screen.

  • We should send spammers to forced labor camps.

  • What a bunch of bull, ppl in the 1960s probably thought as highly of themselves as this video does of today.

  • The future doesn't get better. WE will make it better.

  • pretty amazing info. the music kind of sucked but i'm glad i watched the vid...

  • wowzers. very informative.

  • god damn this must have takes a heck load of hours to edit up

  • Whoa...

  • I'm 19 and I send probably around 1950 texts in a month. And my friends consider me a lightweight. :)

  • You have no life. I've had to deal with people who don't receive calls, and the most I've ever had to send was maybe 6-10 texts in 1 day, but it wasn't like that every day. You're out of your mind to type on those shitty cell phone keypads, or even the full querty keyboards.

  • just got rickrolled god damn it

  • good work...numbers never say to lie...

but I wonder...do we use technology or does technology use to us??

  • The world of today never seizes to amaze me.

  • My next task is not to use cell and computer for month. The outdoors are so much fun, tried it and its healthy.

  • this is pretty amazing

  • Does this have no audio or am I missing something?

  • It's got music...

  • wow thats amazing if you think about how far we have come

  • How many text messages does the average American teen send each month? 2,272 !!!

No.... I just don't believe it!

  • They have to mean IM messages when they said 2,272 text messages a month. There is no way teens text message 2,272 messages a month on a phone.

  • why not? most do

  • believe it. my youngest brother is 16 and he sent about 4,000 TEXT messages in one month. the outraging thing is that AT&T felt they had to waist 30+sheets of paper to list all of them.

kids send texts like they were IM'ing. 1 to 6 word responses, back and forth. In a matter of 5-10 minutes this could be 15+ texts from just one of the senders, but they also count the ones you receive, so double that.

Even if they just texted for these 10min a day (not likely for a teen), 30x30days=900.

  • well actually my sister (age 18) sent about 6,000 texts and my other sister (age 13) sent about 4,000 texts this last month.

  • Most text messages are short.

    "Hey whats up"

    "bored in class"

    "OK"

    (3 useless texts)

  • Very nice I liked it

  • Amazingly interesting

  • Awesome!!!

  • Love it!

  • Smooth, Nice and Inspiring...
