i love her songs, her album, her style, and her entertainment value - but i would agree - she has an unusual voice that does not do so well live - at some times better than others. BUT, she is unique, and you cant compare her voice to that of someone like Nicole Scherzinger, Kelly Clarkson, or Lady Gaga (for example). Would i buy her album? ABSOLUTELY. Would i pay to hear her live, if it was just her voice i was wanting to hear? NOPE! Would i pay to watch her as an on-stage entertainer? YUP!

She cant sing at all which is why she has backing vocals of her own voice playing whilst she's singing live (covers up slightly how bad it is!)! She is a looker but that shouldnt be counfused with talent, originality etc! i honestly thought this was a solid performance. not the best ive seen from her but still good. i like how she is trying more to hit the higher notes that she does on the cd and she is doing well. she puts a lot of energy into singing live and thats what singing live is all about, mixing things up your way. she just gets better and better.

WRONG!!! how do you expect Katy to sing all the layers (tracks) of the song? of COURSE she needs a backing vocal. Play a digital recording of lady Gaga's appearance back and she is CLEARLY lip synching everything except a couple of "oh yeahs" etc. play the Rove version back straight after the Sunrise version (which i did) and you will see what i mean - she was out of breath and a little pitchy on Rove, but on Sunrise it was EXACTLY as the song is recorded - pity her lips werent in synch tho!

yeah, but my point was Lady Gaga simply didnt sing at all - and that was obvious when she actually DID sing live on Rove the next night. I think Sunrise were well within their rights as a live gig is a live gig - and thats what they expected. That said, and this is ironic, but i think Lady Gaga has a better voice... when she actually sings :)
