I recognize many of the sprites in this game from the newer Castlevania games. It's no surprise that Konami is reusing the sprites to save money for the games they make, which, in my opinion, is a great thing to do.

Castlevania is a great series. I would recommend you start off SotN, then go to the SNES and GBA/DS ones.
