oh cool, im just starting out with gold panning and it really fun,but im still 18- so cant go any where far to pan, and i live in NY so no creeks/rivers/streams near me :(
@1335draco the blue bowl is a gold recovery methode. it uses a spining action of the water to remove dirt iron and silt leaveing just the gold and a few particals. its a must have for gold recovery. it allows you to get about 98% of all gold. but best of all it allows you to get as much of the super fine micro gold possible. look at my blue bowl videos or clean up vids. to see it action . and how fine of recovery it does.
Good video, good times and alot of hard work. I'm Washington prospector and sent money down to help put you and others back in the water dredging in Ca. Enjoyed seeing at it , hope you make more in 2010.
@6061lucky thank you for your kind words and help to our fight of this stupid and bank rupting bill that steals from the mouth off all that prospect and! the wounderfull people that sapport us like the gas stations , coffee shops , food stores , prospecting shops, prospecting clubs, weekend hobbiests, and ect.. the list goes on. all over the petty rights of a fish and native people. cry babies thats all they are.
it is, the tribe up there only wants to mess with dave mc crackin a local miner and claim owner. they draged the state into there two cent little girl issues with us honest hard working people.
good for you AND I DONT CARE!!!! YOUR TRIBE -WENT TO FARE THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR DAME SALMON .THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WILL LOOSE INCOME BECAUSE OF NO TRADE ON PROSPECTING FROM GAS STATION TO MOM AND POP STORE DUE TO YOUR TRIBES LAW SUIT WAY TO GO . I WISH YOU AND YOUR TRIBE THE WORSE!
Yep, its all about the salmon and you. Hey, quick heads up. Even if dredging killed fish, which it doesn't, where I dredge there are no salmon nor have there been for 50 to 60 years. Guess why. Dams. Irrigation issues. Water temperature. So you selfish bastards and the special interest groups like a bunch of spoiled little kids ruined it for everyone. Funny that the 'Crooks' Indian tribe isn't even a recognized fishing tribe. Go choke on a salmon bone
i second that! and i invite any and all dredger to say something to you Indians that want to stop dredging maybe then you get the message that your tribe f,ed up!!!!
Karuk Tribe does not have a federally-recognized or protected fishing right on the Klamath River. This conclusion was confirmed by the Associate Solicitor for Indian Affairs in a 1994 memorandum. The Associate Solicitor concluded that there was "no evidence that the Karuk's fishery is conducted pursuant to federally reserved Indian fishing rights." Memorandum from Michael J. Anderson to Bill Shake, Fish and Wildlife Service, March 7, 1994.
The Associate Solicitor's review found no treaties, federal statutes or executive orders that would form the basis for a claim that the Karuk Tribe's fishery is based on federally-reserved rights, nor was any evidence found of an "historic reservation or trust lands set aside for fishery purposes." Land purchased and put into trust at Ishi Pishi does not qualify as establishment of reserved fishing rights.
I have never protested anything in my life, but I would go all the way on this one) let me know. I've grown very fond of the guys at pioneer mining in Auburn and I really feel sorry for them. Its their bread and butter.
man thanks for the great info! i didnt know about... this is not over by fare i am sure . tribel conflic with the public has got to stop! they feel they should be handed it all but in the end they really get the "horns of the bull"! i am so pissed!
Hun I am sorry the bill was sign..I go kick his butt if you like..I not scared of him..once agine I had a great time out with you and look forword to doing more camping with you
I'm tellin' you man, always dredge UPRIVER from camp! :) Heard Arnold passed the dredge ban... Is that just for new permits or will that affect you? I wrote a letter a few weeks ago about it even though I don't live down there, what happens in Cali usually makes it up to Oregon.... Guess they don't care what people think. Maybe you'll have to come up and dredge with me next year.
Yep. Its all over for suction dredging in California. Payed for our permits just in time to have them revoked. Cant even get out money back. At the very least they could have let us finish the season. I also wrote to the Governor. Not that it does any good. Your vote doesn't count any more unless you are a special interest group with lots of money to grease the wheels. Sad.
It would be nice if someone would pay. But who and how. I am all for it. I didnt spend $4000 but I spent $2000. And my brand new permit that I have used 5 times. I want my money back.
he signed the bill sb-670 he does not know what he did, many towns and shop owners depended on dredging and trade. from gold bought and sold to the local deli slash gas station/ slash bait store slash well?? you get the idea. gold is a great tourist magnet. so many people are going to suffer. he is a marked man i am sure by many!
don't believe he even cares what he did. It doesn't and wont affect him. He wont get re-elected. His approval rating is around 26 to 28% so he isn't likely to get another go around. The wonderful red tape and the slow arm of the government will make sure we lose out rights for good. Unless do something.
How do you like this quote? "Our original intent was not to shut down dredging statewide," said Craig Tucker, hired by the Karuk to lead their campaign to restore salmon to the Klamath River. "But because the new 49ers and these mining clubs fought us so hard, we had little alternative but to challenge the rules." So because we fought for our right, they decided to just take them away. All I can say is I'm pissed.
Great video! i don`t envy you having to walk that drege back up the river on them slippery rock. You got quiet a bit of color that time. congrat. Those rocks are heavy too. i wonder if you could make you path for your drege or maybe get a Long water ski rope, maybe two long rope tie together and that way you could pull the drege back up stream.
if the river was flat all the way back i could but the water is low and all the rock tips are stopping the dredge. i tell yah if i had a bull dosser i would make a path that i could fallow any time...lol
crap i get that in one pan in nz check out some of them on my vid
