  • so i thought that the mk4 r32 with 1st gen haldex could only send up to 30% of it's torque to the rear wheels right? but this video and others of the mk4 r32 doing donuts makes it seems as if it's sending more because i don't think 30% torque could make it spin that well could it? i could be wrong. they say the new golf R can send 100% to the rear wheels. i wish someone would post a vid of that car doing donuts to see how it is.

  • wtff??? AWD golf??? that's cool!

  • 4dr R32? *sigh* not in america :(

  • fock that car is a real monster. listen to the sound

  • @PRO1991a just got my first car, a golf.

    cant wait for winter

  • @snowboardloser Which golf ? I have drifted with Golf 2,4 FWD not AWD... Drifting is better with mk4 :)

  • @PRO1991a i believe its the mark 5.

its just a basic 2006 model golf.

  • woahh that wall came up a bit fast

    good vid wish i had a R.

  • @smudge5 lol, the wall was a good few feet away, there was a curb to hit first before the wall, it was all in the camera angle.

  • Quality vid fella. Was hoping to get out in mine but there are too many curbs to watch out for!

  • Cheers mate, you would spin round way to fast with that turbo lol!

  • Its 4w, but not a 40/60 or 50/50 system.

  • front wheel, real wheel or 4 wheel drive?

  • 4 Wheel drive but with the Traction Control switched off.

All 4 wheels spin without the "brains" of the car spoiling all the fun.

  • @benjokazooie none, All Wheel Drive is what the R32 has, not 4 wheel

  • @speacialperson12345 they are the same thing, with the ecception that 4wd is manually controlled for temporary use and all wheel drive is permanent drive through all 4 wheels.

  • @benjokazooie 4wd is on trucks and SUV's and can be turned in low/high/or even automatic, and can be turned off to where just the rear wheels are being used. With AWD all 4 wheels are spinning constantly, and with higher end AWD systems the computer can send more power to a wheel if it finds it necessary. 4WD also uses a transfer case and AWD does not, and also cant be turned off, at least with all the AWD cars ive driven/owned.

  • damn right...........that mk5 reminds me as if its a marraid man wid a wife keeping tabs on what he wears lol................ damn right the mk4 owns...look at it...jus a fukkin bad ass looking meany,,,,...im stuck wid a 1.8 mk4 :(

  • that is fukkin bad ass...i always luved the mk4 model...r32... :) im defo gonna get mk4 r32... :) im not much of a fan of mk5 look

  • Sounds absolutely amazing.

  • Thankyou

  • haldex, get proper full time awd, get a quattro

    even if i would drive a r32

  • Ok if you say so?

Do they only let you out at weekends?

  • LOL, Quattro is basically the same system as Haldex smarty pants, just the engine is mounted longitudinally in quattro.

  • Yes Janeshcw this is absolutely correct, I beleive the exception to this rule is in TT Quatros. But fundamentally Haldex are the suppliers of the AWD system for both Audi and VW or the VW/Audi group. I quote: "Haldex is used by Audi on the quattro versions of the Audi A3 and Audi S3, and the Audi TT. It is also used by Volkswagen in the 4motion versions of the Mk4 and Mk5 generations of Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Jetta, and the Golf R32"

  • @Janeshcw

    well, thats not 100% correct.

the "original" quattro is a permanent 4wheel drive system, and the "haldex-quattro" in the a3, s3 and TT is the same like "4-motion" from VW.

the difference is: "original-quattro"--> permanent AWD

"haldex-quattro/4-motion"--> the rear tires are activated, when the front tires spin due to low traction/grip. that is made by the "haldex-clutch"

  • Skills :)

    Nice golf aswel

  • haha nice one =)
