The LP that this song heads 'Everyone is Everybody Else' is my favourite LP of all time. Really don't know how it slipped through. Never appears whereas Moodies, Genesis, Neil Young, Zeppelin all do.
As an old-timer I feel I should have given this band more attention but they completely slipped me by even though I was heavily into the Moodies and Pink Floyd. Still, as they say, better late than never.
I know. I try to live in the 60's. Doesn't work so well at school but I try! Modern 'music' has lost all meaning. There's no talent, emotion or reason. It's not even music anymore. I don't think I voluntarily own an album by a band which came about after 77 ish...
I think that many youngsters have problems relating to today's music. However, I try not to be too critical of forms of music I dont like. There are no doubt millions of people who hate my favourites. I just wish people would not comment so unthinkingly on youtube. Each to their own I say.
Ah, I apologise. Yes, I know exactly where you're coming from. WHen I wrote before I'd just put up with about 3 hours of being told how awful BJH was...so I wasn't too happy. I wouldn't go and comment on music I didn't like just for the sake of it though - that's rather meaningless. In theory no one who doesn't like BJH will stumble across this anyway :). Sorry.
No, no, I was not being critical of you. I agree with you and do not personally like most of today's music. My gripe is against comments so as "this song is crap" (and sometimes more colourfully put). "In my opinion this song is crap" would be better. My point was that, like yourself, many young people today seem to prefer older material. If there are people out there who disagree, good for them. As I said before, each to their own.
Yes, I definately agree there. Though I don't see the point in leaving negative comments about the song itself...if you don't like it why are you watching it?! hehe. But yes. :). Do you have a favourite band?
My favourites? Its a difficult call. As I said I loved the Moody Blues and Pink Floyd. I also like the Waterboys, Transglobal Underground and Dance 2 Trance plus of course BJH. A couple of my all time favourite songs are on youtube - December by the Waterboys and Grapes of Wrath (wrongly inserted as Grapes of Wrap) by the Mission. Have you heard Silver Wings by BJH? isnt it wonderful?
I know. I'm sorry :( But if you see the DVD the sound quality is a standing joke...it's just the film quality I can be held responsible for...:P it was off my phone as I have no other method. I tried. SOrry! -sarah x
My claim to BJH fame was peeing alongside Les Holroyd (standing only urinals) at their Dagenham concert complete with the Orchestra..great stuff guys you were always up there in my books...have your albums still...thanks for video.
thanks for putting the vid on ! this is a great song highlighting world issues in the '70's and it's still very relevent to todays world , with all the recent conflicts eg Iraq , Afghanistan , Lebanon etc.etc.etc. this song should be more well known
here here. BJH are so excellent. I don't know why they aren't well known at large anymore; well I do, English society is dropping dramatically, but still!
ein super tolles lied...aber so eine scheiss qualität das geht gar nicht
