perfectshot77- I appreciate your comment. It may not be easy to see but the balls along the rail are tied up, making the shot to either corner pocket impossible. If it was in a regular game, perhaps the better strategy would have been playing to a spot where a strong safety could be easily played. But playing the ghost doesn't allow safeties since if you don't get out you automatically lose.
@blindahl78: I debated about posting this video because of the embarrassment factor. This fabulous off-the-table shot is me trying to draw as much as John can. He was so gracious I had no reason to be nervous but I managed to anyway, lol. Thanks for your reassurance and confirming my decision to post it.
@nimajnebrm: Yeah, trying to put a bunch of draw on the cue ball can be tricky. John has such a great stroke that he makes drawing the rock look effortless. I finally worked a pause into my shot routine which allows me to hit the ball with more precision. Not that I never hop the cue ball off the table anymore but I'm glad to report that it happens less often. Thanks for your comment. As I said to blindahl78, it confirms my decision to post this video in spite of my gaff.

I hate when I jump the cue ball like that... Still glad you posted it, the information is good... I think all of us pool players have done that. =)

I would jump white off the table each and every shot, if John Schmidth was standing looking at me shooting. :) Interesting videos. Cheers!

Haha, I find myself hopping the ball off the table when trying to draw far too much. Good lesson though.
