@Paulc2011 Try driving down the street while getting a 10year old to shoot footage with a tiny handheld 4mpix digital video camera (that he's not used before), while giving him direction and get better results.
These videos were shot for fun to share something of our lives, my musings or our area of the world. It was an interest that we shared for a while and had some fun with we weren't trying to be professional - the film is what it is, If you want better hire a film crew and come to Aberdeen.
There's a street next to me where everyone makes an effort to put up lots of lights outside the house. There's about 6 houses on either side but it's amazing. Reminds me of those Christmas films set in America where each household has competitions to see who can get the best lights display.
Christmas lights in Aberdeen Scotland. Not only a celebration of Christmas, but maybe a celebration of one of it's greatest national treasurs, Annie Lennox, whose birthday is on Christmas. Maybe not, but still...
Scotland Rules! awesome lights mate, did you hear that a town in england only had one christmas decoration in the city centre i think it was near Devon lol i'm from derby so i have nothing to worry about.
WOW no I had not heard of that its unbelievable that a British city should not be celibrating Christmas. I thought the first city to do that would be soomething like Bradford or Luton. Anyway I'm glad you enjoyed it.
bradford or luton lol that cracked me up! but it was to do with the council not being able to afford it, i heard they wanted locals to pay and they refused which i would lol its what the council should provide...the string of lights from one side to the other was crap! it cost either a grand or other aswell...oh well thanks bud i'll have a gooden...you to again!

Very lovely! I tried to take some footage where I live, however I can't figure out how to photograph in the dark!! I'll try again! happy holidays to you & yours!
My camera adjusts automatically to high & low light levels which makes it easier and I adjust the light levels on the PC too. I hope it works out for you.
Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed seeing a City that still celebrates Christmas as a whole. Here in the US with all the liberals freak out if you celebrate Christmas. God Bless, and Merry Christmas to you and your family Andy
It's sad that your citys don't celibrate Christmas, I pray that that does not cross the Atlantic Ocean. We are going away for Christmas so I will have more lights for you when we return in the New Year.

there are new xmas lights now from 2008 and the leopard light was lost and then they found it and put it up in 2008
