@susterul Actually, Fl studio can cost hundreds of dollars. There is a free demo but it doesn't have all of the features and any songs that you save cannot be opened again unless you buy the program.
Fl Studio only costs 200 for the producer edition, which is the best you can get. Its quite accessible as far as price goes. its the virtual synths that will kill your wallet. But if you take time to learn how to make sounds with the included x3osc you can get some awesome sounds out of it. Just depends on how much time your willing to pour into making sounds.
I've been using the demo of flstudio for about two years...personaly i love it. I'm trying to work with lmms right now though. I don't like how it sequences, It feels messy to me. However, lmms is definitely the best free DAW out there imo.
