Ovie has proven he's been the best player in the league. His teams haven't proven to be the best teams in certain tournys (Olympics/Cup) so you can't fault him on TEAM TROPHIES. Look at how long it took Yzerman to get a cup, even after the Wings started becoming a playoff team it took a while for them to finally clinch in 97. Ovechkin's playoff numbers are amazing and the day Malkin gets a nod for Selke you can say he's a two way player, cuz he's never been one.

For 2. a concussion is the result of the brain being jerked inside the skull and the bruising associated with that, not the direct impact to the head. The impact of a puck, (because of its light weight) would not have the same effect as a guys shoulder ( thats physics). So yes you are wrong, despite how much you "think" you know

If that was the case, then it would make sense that the Hedman hit gave him a second concussion since you are more likely to get a more severe second concussion after you ignore the first. I've seen it happen to some guys I used to play football with, and it makes sense when you consider how much difficulty he's had trying to rehab.

Pittsburgh has had a much longer and more successful franchise than Atlanta which previously lost a team already, and now they lost their second franchise. Atlanta sucks for hockey. Although Pittsburgh almost lost their team too due to bankruptcy since fans didn't show up before Crosby lol, pretty pathetic if you ask me. If it wasn't for Lemieux paying out of pocket to save the Pens you guys might not have a team anymore.

Ovie has proven he's been the best player in the league. His teams haven't proven to be the best teams in certain tournys (Olympics/Cup) so you can't fault him on TEAM TROPHIES. Look at how long it took Yzerman to get a cup, even after the Wings started becoming a playoff team it took a while for them to finally clinch in 97. Ovechkin's playoff numbers are amazing and the day Malkin gets a nod for Selke you can say he's a two way player, cuz he's never been one.

yup, I think Ovechkin has the highest goals per game average in the playoffs OF ANY PLAYER IN HISTORY as of now. Ovie has proved to be a pretty damn good playoff performer, but his team couldn't keep up unfortunately for him.

Dany heatly and savard don't count because they gave up mid way through the season. Kovalchuk played for the devils outstandingly thought the second half of the season where he ended the season with 31 goals, although it was his worst season he still has more talent in his pinky than ovi, crysby, or the sedins

Whereas Crosby, in his first game back from a concussion that kept him out of the lineup for 9 months, had 2 goals and 2 assists, nearly 1/3 of Ovi's totals so far. How many cups has Ovechkin led the Capitals to? Crosby wears the "C" in Pittsburgh for a reason. How many players can you name won the Cup and an Olympic Gold medal within a year?

@LAWLERSTATUSABLE for 1. Crosby did not get a concussion from getting hit into the boards, it was when David Steckels shoulder hit him in the head. For 2. a concussion is the result of the brain being jerked inside the skull and the bruising associated with that, not the direct impact to the head. The impact of a puck, (because of its light weight) would not have the same effect as a guys shoulder ( thats physics). So yes you are wrong, despite how much you "think" you know

Have you ever heard the equation of Force; force=m(mass) X w(weight) a 5.5 ounce puck travelling lets say 200 ft/second has a much smaller force then a 215 pound David Steckle travelling, lets say 20 ft/second. Its actually about 100 times more force in newtons. So Crosbys brain would have suffered a much much more severe jolt than did Green's. PS your stupid

@LAWLERSTATUSABLE If you watched the 24/7 series they show an interview with him in the locker room after the Steckel hit, and he definitely seems concussed. If that was the case, then it would make sense that the Hedman hit gave him a second concussion since you are more likely to get a more severe second concussion after you ignore the first. I've seen it happen to some guys I used to play football with, and it makes sense when you consider how much difficulty he's had trying to rehab.

Second, players lie about whether they've had concussions all the time, and Crosby would have all the reason to. He's the captain of that team leading them into the most anticipated game of the regular season, which they happened to be losing. It's the team's responsibility to test him if they suspect him of having one, which I don't think they did. I'm saying they should have.

I said that after the Steckel hit he would have had incentive to lie, and that it wasn't as obvious that he had just had a concussion. After the Hedman hit, it was obvious that he had sustained a pretty bad concussion. At that point, the medical staff would have had to evaluate him, which would have kept him out until he could pass further baseline tests to determine whether he had recovered sufficiently.
