Its like.. i can feel them through the music, its so beautiful. I sound like a total hipster, but i feel a conection through this song, and its music video.
I love how the audience stays almost completely silent during the quiet bits. How often does that happen where a concert audience actually wants to just listen to the music instead of scream the whole time.
For me, sigur ros' music is much more powerful than just landscapes and reminding me of other songs.
It brings up intense emotion that you didn't know you had or you thought was gone, and when the crescendo comes in the song you cant stop yourself grinning or bursting out in tears. That's what makes sigur ros so special
So I had two Sigur Rós shows to go to in the span of 1 month, Minneapolis and Red Rocks in Denver. During the silent part of this song in Minneapolis, the crowd was dead silent. Seriously. No one in the crowd spoke. Jonsi was definitely feeling it and stretched it out to what felt like 30 seconds or more. It was incredible. I have never been a part of something so amazing. Words can't really describe it. :)
@Red Rocks, people were shouting and the part was sorta ruined. Cool venue tho!
this song is one of my favs from Sigur Rós, but it reminds me landscapes, not song. I remember well driving down to Veracruz (a state in Mexico), there was a forest on my left, and a town at many many fts on my right, and while i was going down the mountain, i reached the clouds (maybe the fog), or maybe they reached me, i dunno, but it was amazing. Sigur Rós music is perfect to imagine or enjoy landscapes
The part from 6:50 and on breaks my heart. So much emotion.

I've heard rumours that during this recording the angels started to cry...
And some even lost their wings since they wanted to come closer to this...

@ThanatosSagenev You must have been driving from Mexico? Or maybe through Xalapa down to Veracruz? It is HANDS DOWN the most beautiful ride!
