Im learning about mame and being able to have ki1 and 2 and all the mks at home....i really want to make an arcade style cabinet, complete with the real joysticks....those games are what i grew up on in the arcades for so many years.... :)

About the controllers, KI used a standard 6 button layout, so the best out there are the Hori Sticks. They have them for sale at Wal Mart last time I checked!

The reason that being is b/c the 2P (in this case COM) is automatically set to its default colour palette - Orchid having green, Jago having blue. Therefore, when you begin the game, 1P is set with the secondary colour palettes. If you want to go to its default colours, have the 2P change its colours first.

If you want to play killer instinct on your comp just download the mame emulator. Look for the kinst.chd file or the kinst2.chd and download it mostly likely it will be a torrent file. Then go to a webite like rom-world and download the rest of the files from there.

i wouldnt play any other version beside Arcade version... i got this on my Macbook.. Xbox 360 controllers work with it. I had KI2 (Arcade) but it had framerate problems...

you can either get it to work on MAME with the CHD file or u64emu and you need no CHDs to operate it, and the PS1/PS2 controller can easily be connected with a USB connection

I have mine set up for freeplay. I also have the cheat pack for it, but I only use that to practice. You really can't practice if you keep killing your opponent. I've actually never played the original arcade machine, just this on MAME. The CHD file is a bitch to get ahold of, though. It's not illegal to share, but no rom hosting site will. I got it from someone on the MAME forums that was hosting it on MegaUpload.

Arcade version is better than snes version my favorite no mercy moves is falling off the cliffs. its more painful to watch on arcade than on snes version i love it nice. and one more question how come your playing a ps one controller on the pc i have one of those, that's impossible.
