  • Given how tank like Yakovlev aircraft are built, I wouldn't be surprised if he was scraping!

  • It's called building a box and he almost closed the lid.

  • DUDE! FAA was all over that DUDE! wow I bet he had to get a replacement seat!

  • Firstly its "JAK" as "JAKOVLEV" we also dont call hurricane "harykain" so learn names you monkey a,sses, and secondly.. can anyone tell me what sort of fake "back stab" meant? how fake? what fake? fake is back stab someone.. hahaha

  • It's Як as Я́ковлев and I think if you look in the wikipedia It's translated as Yakovlev.

  • @TheVeneth Its Yak as in "Yakovlev design bureau"!!!

  • ur a fake 699!

  • There is a Spitfire crash video on YT, where the pilot very clearly makes the same mistake.

He ends up + in flames.

  • He was inches away from augering that into the dirt. Dislecksic, he humped the mutt, you know he had to clean his drawers after that.

  • actuly it was 1.5cm

  • it's an illusion, the background is on a slope and makes it look like the plan is far closer than it is. God, some of you are so dim it's scary.

  • k it may have been further away from the ground than we can tell but even the announcer stopped talking. shouldnt that tell you something? or maybe im just dim...

  • @gabrielbelmont my name is purplealmond.. fancy date?

  • that was friggin close !!!

  • wtf? that was close...

  • hes thankfull for ground effect.

  • i think he shit his pants

  • then u dont know what military pilots can do :D:D:D

  • Do you think it was intentional? Did he really want to do such a close "groundie"?

  • not really m8 :P

  • Are you kidding me? I think I shit my pants!!!

  • It's real. This was at Andrews AFB at the Open House back in 2004. I was sitting right in front of the Snowbirds when it happened. Nobody seemed to notice but the announcer and a lady sitting next to us who screamed. Think there was a dip in the runway there. Lucky dude. He didn't get his pull in until VERY late. There was actually vapor coming of the wing tips.

  • I don't think that's real guys. Looking at the trajectory of the aircraft that pull out was impossible. He'd have a big sink rate trying to go from straight down like that to a pull out. And if you watch it frame by frame it seems unrealistic there. And it kinda looks like he hits the ground but i think it wopuld have done more damage if he did.

  • That 's cool, with a job like that you need to have these kinda guts

  • And the judges say? 10 10 10 Perfect score

  • just acouple of feet above the ground

    thats a good pilot

  • @halffliffe No, that's a fucking idiot who fucked up and nearly killed himself

  • @doriordan my mistake :D anyways I would shit my pants haha

  • a cunt hair...

  • The pilot won the lottery with this one.

  • o.O!!!

  • he is god !!!!

  • I bet he will think about his altitude next time.

  • holy shit

  • Woah, just imagine the G's he's pullin' during that critical moment.

  • that is amazing. 5/5

  • i reckon he was wrapped that he got away with it...with his little "wahhhoo!" barrel roll

  • cor blimey!

  • Nah, the pilot planned the whole thing...

  • fuck!, I'm pilot and that stuff couldn't be planned! You can see the moment when he start the stall and when he increase the power, he is a lucky guy

  • @yaayahr He didn't stall, just made a balls of the barrel roll (tried to knock it off half way through 'cos he knew he didn't have the height) and power in the stall wouldn't have helped in any sort of 'nose-down' attitude, it would only increase his height loss. Not to mention any adverse effects of a power-on stall, I'd say he was pure lucky and hit ground effect before climbing away. (That said, it looks like he may have even touched the ground during the recovery)

  • @doriordan my mistake :D anyways I would shit my pants haha

  • @doriordan my mistake :D anyways I would shit my pants haha

  • wow, you couldnt even get a rizla between the plane n the ground there!!

  • he must have painted a new white line on the runway ! very close

  • And a brown one in his pants!

  • lol

  • oh my god

  • I stopped breathing there for a sec! pfff

  • picked up his lighter

  • Easy fixed go out and crash 1, make sure you get your mate to film it.

  • At the time he Probably didnt realise he came that close to the ground as he cant see under or over the nose of the Aircraft.

  • Wow. I cannot imagine the adrenaline rush that pilot must have had. It makes my nuts shrivel just watching it.

  • Love the guy speaking! He just like stops for a sec... and then continues talking

  • pucker factor X10

  • I would shit myself.....

  • to come that close to the ground, that a hell of a good flying plane, or a damn lucky pilot.

  • totally worth risking your life for

  • wow, wing-in-ground effect!

  • God truely was looking over him that day.

  • thats definately true!

  • There's been more than one pilot that mis-judged that manuever. You can stall at any speed/angle of attack...too low and too much pull-back on the stick and you get a stall and a pancake with the ground. That's also why you have to get an FAA waiver to do aerobatics below 1500 AGL.

  • How low can you go? I think he just found out.

  • i want to see that pilot's interview after the show.

  • i dont wanna see his boxers tho!!!

  • Uh, yeah that's pretty ridic.

  • top vid!

  • Lucky SOB.

  • That tore him a new asshole.

  • Ha Ha that you pops. The anouncer crap himself

  • pucker factor 10

  • i bet that puckered up his but hole

  • Real tight!!

  • He was sucking it up tight enoughf to gain a few inches.....lmao

  • imagine what he must of been feeling

    "holy shit im gonna die"

  • Naw, It's more like a "FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK....!" at the last moment in close calls. I would know. I've had a few.

  • Its not fake, if u pause at the exact right second u can see he has the nose pointed up by about 3 degrees and thats why the prop dosnt get bent!

  • does he touch the floor its the 1 question that pops in mt head thas why everbody see this vid twice lol.

  • crazy insane!!!!!!!!!

  • i bet he was like a milimeter from the ground

  • that was so over the top, I love how the announcer stops talking cuz in his head he's like "oh snap did you see that fool almost buy it"

  • OK SuperAbram, how did they fake it? A little tippex maybe, a sharp knife & some glue? do tell do tell go on ....!

  • No you fool! It's cotton swabs, cheese, and flashlight. :D

  • if u look at the pilot in the plane he waves his hands after he does it hahahaha.

  • I would surely shit all my pants... Lucky sunofabitch!

  • ground effect saved his lucky ass.

  • How he didn't bend his prop to hell and gone I can't figure out. Unbelivable!! He must he had to change his shorts after. watch "The Great Waldo Pepper" for a good flying movie.

  • Whoa!!! How many Yaks are still flying i wonder?

  • holy shit he must of been six inches off the ground wow!

  • WOOOOOOOOOW OMFG how lucky was he lol

  • lucky very lucky

  • yep

  • The dude commenting at the show pauses when he realises this might get ugly, more luck than talent got him out of this one. "Smoking or non-smoking Sir?"....."SMOKING!!"

  • you can see the cockpit turns brown just after he ralises hees still alive

  • lmao that was good one. Now i must admit that "close call" vids are a great thing to watch and it's good fun to read replies to those "miracluos escapes". If you got a little bit high it turns a to be a REAL fun.

  • esse teve muita sorte

  • After pulling out of that there is a little pause followed by the "I'm still alive" barrel roll...wow, lesson learned, thank you

  • Didnt quite have enough altitude for that stunt really did he, stupid idiot.

  • It is a miracle they are not dead

  • fuck man that was sooo fucking close.u can even hear the guys areshole slam shut

  • I reckon there might be a different kind of skid mark left on that particular runway.

  • damned shit! I think this was a question of a few centimetres

  • Jesus how close was that, surely the aircraft struck the ground?

  • Hate to say it but even Thunderbird pilots can make an altitude correction error and turn their sleek 29 million $ F-16 into a John deer plow disk very quickly. The Yak-3/9 Fighter was highly underated and could out-turn a FW-190 or P-51D below 10K.

  • Holy crap.

  • RobertGary1, don't ever take up acrobatics! This no math error but pilot error. He floated the G over the top and failed to correct on the backside. Plus his wings weren't level coming entering the backside.

Credit is due for the tuckunder after nearly morting himself. But. thankfully the FAA saw to it that this dope is no longer qualifed to fly airshows

  • Damn he needs glance at his altitude gauge next time.

  • Too risky!! glad he saved his ass :)

  • Thank god, hope he did kiss his Yak on landing. Had this been on a P-38 or even a Mustang, the guy wouldn't be there to tell his friends.

  • This often ends up being a math error. You have to add the field elevation to your loop top altitude. If you are off 100 feet, opps. I hope he didn't get a prop strike, tearing down those radials is expensive.

  • KICKING UP SPARKS! That guy is the living dead. He stared it in the face and lived to tell the tale.

  • why do pilot do that manouvre? so many warbirds have crashed doing it, (just look at the spitfirecrash vid if you want proof) don't loop or immelham so close to the ground you daft buggers!

  • thats awesome, God said naah I think I'll let this cat have another life!

  • just listen to the dude on the load speaker

  • lol inchess!

  • AS CLOSE AS I GETS

  • Awesome, I bet he never plays chicken with the ground again! lucky guy.

  • pilot seems pretty calm. after he shaked hands with death he continued with his manauvers!

  • wouldnt you make a victory roll if you just cheated death ?

  • il a du faire de l'huile d'olive vierge 1ere pression a froid avec son caca lui....

  • Pucker Factor at its highest!!

  • Brown pants!

  • WOW!! inches from death
