But in the Metal Gear Solid 4 intro, David Hayter says "War has changed."

Since hearing that line in MGS4, I've always imagined the two of them getting into a long, violent argument over whether or not war is any different than it was in the past.

You forgot the fallout tactics intro for the botherhood of steel entering chicargo was also a simple but entertaining but i do agree with DiarrheaChain the first 2 are and will always be the best intros.. the other are all from already established lore so they really lack the feel of dread from the first 2.. oh yah and Ron Perlman is the voice of Fallout and always will be :D it's not fallout without his his voice in intros

Fallout 2's intro has the best writing of the three, in my opinion. Really great use of metaphor. It's poetic, really, and the atmosphere combined with the different voice effect really drives it home for me.

Fallout 1 comes second. The history really works.

I've never played Fallout 3 - this is the first time I've seen the intro. It's good, and I'm happy that they kept it in line with the previous entries, but the two original intros are simply iconic.
