the whole war never changes is the fact the the reasons we go to war never change and that the results are always the same people die and the land is scared and its always the same silly reasons, and war doesnt change how we fight it is changing what we use to fight is changeing but the reasons remain the same
@MoreWinKhaini well in a way they are both true. The way we wage war always change but the motives are always the same nation a wants what nation b has
I always like these intro by Ron Perlman hopefully they'll make another game soon with him as a character in the game as a playable part of the story even if it's a side-quest. Any idea if they are planning another one?
@HaloElitesrule ehh your sort of right this is highly possible that fallout is a reality because war isnt 2 sides fighting with guns anymore , its nuclear, fallout is a nuclear war, i read the game is set around oil and how it was needed even more to power power armor, and now thats whats happening sort of, the oil part not power armor
@ThekidsJackass1 I think that the religious people would get too the point where once they recieve power, they use nuclear weapons to exterminate each other. That's what I meant. Too your credit thogh, I could've worded it better.
From what I hear, they're in the process of making Fallout 4. One with the same graphic designs as the upcoming Elder Scrolls Skyrim game. You'll never see it coming until you see the previews and hear: "War. War Never Changes." :D
"War never changes"....such a history to this quote....Fallout 2 and Fallout (1) were the best....bethesda has too much morbidity and not enough energy into the game...
In the intros to every Fallout game ever, Ron Perlman says "War never changes."
But in the Metal Gear Solid 4 intro, David Hayter says "War has changed."
Since hearing that line in MGS4, I've always imagined the two of them getting into a long, violent argument over whether or not war is any different than it was in the past.
Semantics really. The reasons and politics to start wars never change. The wars themselves cycle thru the arms race and that makes them each unique, but still cyclical.
You forgot the fallout tactics intro for the botherhood of steel entering chicargo was also a simple but entertaining but i do agree with DiarrheaChain the first 2 are and will always be the best intros.. the other are all from already established lore so they really lack the feel of dread from the first 2.. oh yah and Ron Perlman is the voice of Fallout and always will be :D it's not fallout without his his voice in intros
I love how this guys voice just gets progressively deeper, it's awesome. Ron Perlman is the fuckin king, I love him on Sons of Anarchy, such a badass.
I love Fallout 3, but its intro is definitely not up the par with the first two. In the first two, every word seems perfectly chosen, every sentence lovingly crafted. The Fallout 3 intro seems more thrown together haphazardly.
@BandofLegend, i'd dare to say its biggest fault was lack of Mark Morgan and his touches. Ink spots ftw times cazillion but everything else was wrong.
I wonder where they will choose to "set" Fallout 4. I hope for Colorado or Montana. Then maybe you could check out some parts of post ppocalyptic Canada
I've been using "War .. war never changes" for so long time xDD Then i saw it on Fallout New Vegas ending and i was like "Is that some sort of a sign ?"
@clay180 I think some people might die laughing when they connect his narrating with their mental image of him acting some goofy role the way only he can. Actually I just barely survived that. Nice idea :)
Fallout 2's intro has the best writing of the three, in my opinion. Really great use of metaphor. It's poetic, really, and the atmosphere combined with the different voice effect really drives it home for me.
Fallout 1 comes second. The history really works.
I've never played Fallout 3 - this is the first time I've seen the intro. It's good, and I'm happy that they kept it in line with the previous entries, but the two original intros are simply iconic.
Fallout 3's was most ominous at the end with the "It is here you were born, it is here you will die. Because in Vault 101 noone ever enters, and noone ever leaves."
@itinkgirlzhot12 Food and supplies were provided in the vaults. Things like a large water supply along with purifiers, food making...I dunno really, and other stuff like that.
