It was bad enough that Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey weren't in it (obviously as a prequel it was meant to be). But the fact that the Farrelly brothers had no involvement whatsoever made matters much worse. As a result, it was bound to be a trainwreck no matter what.

i don't think it was jim carrey. i think it was the guy who tried to play a young jim carrey---and to me...failed.
