  • i like that cormega kept it real always, and also mega always got better not like some artist that had great first albums, then could never live up to that.

  • @McSteeznutz

+1 dude, It ain't no surprise he's still one of the better MC's and highly regarded in the underground scene.

  • @dublous110 same here, man.

  • I wish I woulda grown up in these dudes neighborhood instead of being a white boy in a small city. cuz I'm not trying to brag and boast or anything, but I would absolutely murder cormega's beats and compliment his style very well, maybe even steal the show a little bit sometimes... funny how the world works tho

  • @Dubulous111 lol

  • @Dubulous111 hahahaha are you fuckin serious my man?

  • @haysteve420 what makes you think I'm not serious? I've been rapping for over 15 years and making beats for 10, plus I went to college to study creative writing and business. I'm a 27 year old professional salesman, not a delusional middle school kid.....plus I grip mics like fuckin pony tails.

  • @Dubulous111 Telling stories on the internet? Just stop it, haha, you sound real sad homeboy.

  • @Dubulous111 so whens your record comin out big guy?

  • @WeedVulva You're comment was boring

  • Check out and Subscribe to Cormega's Legal Hustle Records Official Youtube Channel For Exclusive Behind the scenes Footage, Live Shows, Studio Sessions, Show/event Dates , Music Videos and much more.

  • Cormega is from the best draft class of MCs ever. '94 Alumni.

  • This shit is fire aka fuego

  • premo and mega in one song, shits too ill like cancer.

  • Im sorry but Dj Premier is the illest. This dude just enhances the flow with his bannana beats.

  • New york classic style.....

  • Nice smooth groove here. Premier flips all types of beats styles. Premier is the best, Man.

  • Mellow beat one of the illest of Premo. Mesmerizin. Cormega drops scinesce too. Word.

  • When Benny Blanco Popped Carlitho i shot the screen,Mega is crazy, peace to preemo

  • Born & Raised was the best album out last year. It even passes that commercial ass blueprint. I like BP3, but not jay doin songs wit youngsters. Mega said Seen fake niggas embrace men they say they resent, they hear the door hit floor im str8 off the hinge. Sums it up

  • fareal! its all about opinion, and the real heads know premo,s real shit, and they also know the tracks he drops that aint all that! listen bro! im one of the biggest premo heads,i grew on premo, but i think alot of heads say every thing is does is dope and i think get real people!he,s got 1000,s of beats, credit him for the dope shit he drops and get off his nutsack!

  • @gully929 no doubt bro, i get ur point, and i respect it. you definitely rite about makin a difference between his dope shit and his classics

  • @gully929 i like premo as much as the next guy and his beats r ill, but the truth is (and this aint comin from a hater) that 9/10 of his beats are samples, he rarely creates bangers that r 100% original......same as 9/10 of hip hop producers out there today....

  • @khalillio yeah but thats how real hip hop is made!its always been like that!i dont like shit that sounds to digital!i love producers like alchemist, large pro, pete rock just blaze, araab muusik1they all use samples1to me thats hip hop!alal this commercial over produced shit there doing nowadays i aint feeling! if premo stopped using samples i probrably wouldnt listen to his shit!

  • @gully929 WORD

  • @gully929

Is it really necessary to rip the English language to shred's.

  • @projectbarryrichards WHAT RELEVANTS DOES THAT COMMENT HAVE TO THIS CONVERSATION?LISTEN BAZZA WE ARE NOT IN A CLASSROOM,WE ARE DISCUSSING HIP HOP SOMETHING OF INTEREST!SO UNLESS YOUHAVE ANY THING TO ADD THIS DISCUSSION THE COMMENTS OF NO IMPORTANCE DOOR IS THAT WAY!!

  • @projectbarryrichards there is a questionmark missing in your comment...

  • @gully929 that's real, i hear u

  • cormega,s real ! i love premo beats but not every beat premo does is fire!people need to get off his jockstrap and credit him for the good beats he does and not every single beat he makes!

  • @gully929 True say Gully bro..word up to that comment!!

  • @gully929 Thats because he has the "scrap" pile for people that cant afford the good ones...

  • @IV619 did u hear the christine agaleara mixes? she,s richer than any rapper he ever worked with and people were commenting on here like the shit was dope,NO! he,s one of my favourite producers but i just feel people say his shits dope autamaticaly cos its premo, did you hear them awful mixes he done for christana agalalura?shit was awfull! but u and i know he,s got alot better shit than that!but people was on here like yeah that shit was dope,I WAS LIKE NO ITS NOT! PEOPLE NEED TO GET REAL!

  • @gully929 how can you say that the tracks he did for christina aguilera are awful??? yeah it is all about opinion, to me these were some of preem's finest productions in the last years. plus it showed that premo is versatile, since there are many people who claim that every premo beat sounds the same, the cuts on the aguilera tracks were incredible, and the beats fitted perfectly to the overall "back to basics" sound...

  • "I can say names, but I'ma chill"

Too bad 50 cent doesn't feel the same way...

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. Im done. Song of that year. So much feelings. RIP Guru, Big up Premier greatest on earth, thanx for da memories, Cormega - is underrated here in Europe. Payton and Kemp

  • @Brianmac722 i didnt search either of them i was looking at royce da 5'9 tracks and this came up

  • @Brianmac722 cormegas lyrics are better than the beat

  • @Brianmac722 i'm opposite O_O

  • dr. dre is a great producer, but imo premier is better (to me the best). dre also is more commercial. his under pressure single....ehh

    Best wishes from Salamanca, SPAIN!!!.

  • miere... likes it eraofffff

    keep it real!!

  • dude its too crazy. DJ Premier is seriously one of the few, maybe the only one. that as time goes by, i like his shit even more, he never sells out or change his style too much. its fukin incredible

  • also in my humble opinion 9th wonder is nearly untouchable in his own right

  • Premo & mega once again on another classic track

  • I looked up the Definition of DJ in the hip hop dictionary and Primo's face came up and in bold letters it said PRIMO THE GREATEST

  • My verses and deep lyrics became realer from game wisdom....

  • primo madlib and dilla, greatest dj's alive..

  • @BSMebeats i thought everyone knew that? lol

  • when benny blanco popped carlito i shot the screen

  • apparently, youtube didn't post my previous comment. I quoted you on your "check his stats" point when you were uplifting dr. dre's name. statistics have as little to do with talent as record sales do, so i don't wanna hear that he makes good beats BECAUSE of his statistics. that is completely irrelevant because popularity doesn't automatically give you creative gifts. Dre isn't shit. He's good and I admit it but he's merely mediocre compared to his other competitors.

  • @mumsdawerd take your own advice and shut up. you are your only audience. im glad you love reading your mind-shattering "arguments" so much.

  • @shad455 yupo!! :~D. that makes two of us. enjoy the rest of your stay here at youtube. hope your experience was as pleasant as mine was. Check out time is noon. peace on top of all that chicken grease.

  • ......that was an emcee that i named. but do you think they fully appreciate damu the fudgemunk, m-phazes, ohmega watts, oddisee, stoupe of j.m.t., insight, and other dope ass producers/emcees? No, and that's why popularity doesn't have shit to do with talent. It's all about marketing and promoting yourself. Dr. Dre gets props from me because he's done songs with Nas & Rakim. But that only means he's mediocre in my book. He's a good producer, but not a GRREEAATTT producer. comprehend?

  • @mumsdawerd BLAH BLAH IMMA NAME MORE EMCEES AND BE LIKE "ZOMG IM TEH GREAT APPRECIATOR" KID. SHUT. UP.

  • @shad455 UH-HUH...................and?

  • my last and final point: Not once, did i EVER say I was any better than Dr. Dre NOR than that particular individual that I was typing to. Yes, i may admit that i'm more advanced in musical taste ONLY but as a human being, i give EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt. Aight? so be gone from this argument son....

  • Fuck all that producer BULLSHIT.

I'd rather face the sky in the cayman

than face indictments that are heavy when taken lightly

  • @mumsdawerd stop crying already

  • @krazzyyo2 who the hell is crying?? Last i checked, i didn't shed one damn tear, so maybe YOU need to stop crying assface. :-D

  • you don't even know the half of me so i suggest that you sit down and stfu before you embarass yourself because I am the last person on earth that you should be labeling a so called "SNOB". Alright you ignorant fuck who loves to pass judgement on people who you don't even know? Yes, maybe i was snobbish because that particular individual who i was conversing with presented themselves as ignorant. That's fine because other people mature differently if u know anything about psychology.

  • I can't believe I haven't copped this yet! Been a fan of his for a while. I really just have been dissappointed with the direction of hip hop now a days.

Been listenin to Jed mind tricks, diabolic, im tech, aotp, reef da lost cauZe, outerspace, snowgoons, and a long list of others! I never turn on the radio anymore..just too fuckin plastic for me!

  • fuck this talk about stealing this'n'that .... In my opinion, it's about how it sounds and come out -plus you gotta have walked some walks, before you're spitting all the talks...

  • Comment removed

  • oh yah, i almost forgot that RZA is now semi-popular as well. Pharell can be added to that list also. Anyway, only maybe 50% of that group i named even consider Havoc, Diamond D, Heatmakerz, JustBlaze, djquik, warrenG, KutmastaKurt, iLLmind, DJ Khalil from Self Scientific as well as a LONG list of others around the World. Now that Japanese producer Nujabes died, i think more and more ppl are barely learning about him because he's deceased. Same thing that happened to Tupac. R.i.p to both.

  • It's the duty and responsibility of every True hip hop head to stay educated on this hip hop shit. It's incredibly vital to listen to other emcees as well as producers here in the U.S. as well as around the World. The majority of people who claim to love "Rap" are the people who barely know of maybe 15 rap/hip hop producers alone. The only producers most of them can name is Dre,preemo,peterock,scottstorch,timbaland,LilJon,kanyewest,swizzbeats,9thWonder,Alchemist, and very few others.

  • @mumsdawerd lol this dude short lists his own stance sit on your hands young half-ass fan kid. you make your own point. good work. fact is you're just being a snob and saying since you know more about hip hop that someone else, you're better at saying things about it. but you arent. and thats the REAL problem. just listen to the shit, its good.

  • @shad455 "this dude"? wtf.....why don't you speak to me, instead of your audience out here? just like i said, i'm not telling him who he should like fuckface, so step off man....i'm not a snob NOR am i a half-ass fan kid aight? You type/speak like you know me personally. i never said i knew more about hip hop. i'm just sayin i know more about this particular situation as well as dr. dre. and what exactly are u askin me to listen to? what shit...dre's shit?

  • @mumsdawerd total snob. insta-replying to defend a point that you can even be coherent about on youtube, about something you hope you know more about than the other people replying/reading, but you probably dont... and thats sad. dre dick rider? no. does dre make good beats? yep. you want proof? check his stats, listen to the beats. its funny how much difference production makes, and ppl glance right over it. just because you can name names doesnt mean your taste is any more refined.

  • @shad455 no, whats sad is your poor ass rebuttal. You obviously took my comments way too seriously. Just because you as an individual were insulted by my replies on the truths about doctor dre doesn't make you any more right than my actual comments on this particular subject matter. You truly believe in your own mind that you're somewhat educating me about hip hop and my own psychological charater?? Please man, you don't have the right to make such an assumption that I'm a snob.

  • @shad455 I never once passed judgement on this thread towards anyone's personality or character. I only label certain individuals as ignorant and i believe it's relevant for me to educate those who are interested in learning more about hip hop because that's exactly what this musical art form is about. Hip Hop is about growth. How exactly is a person gonna grow if they don't open their minds to new music? And by the way, i didn't drop those names for the simple hell of it, so u can stop there.

  • @shad455 oh yes, and before you come back at me with any other bogus ass replies about you attacking the way i think and how i view myself as an individual who lives as a heterosexual human being. I'd also love to add that I take everything in with a grain of salt. I love learning from the most unexpected and under-appreciated people of this earth. I believe that the majority of ppl in society who love to hear their own voice need to stfu and the others who choose to be quiet need to speak up.

  • @shad455 so are you identifying yourself as a dre dickrider too or what shad455? btw, i don't side with any particular producer so i'm not too fond of other producer dickriders either such as premo cuz i've heard wack ass beats from preemo and even j dilla as well.

  • well if you're doctor dre's #1 Fan hands down and you don't give a fuck then that shows a lot of loyalty man. so if he's your style as well as your favorite producer then I'm not gonna tell you who your favorite producer SHOULD be. Keep supporting him and stay true then. All's I'm trying to say is that if you choose to stay ignorant and not even give other producers a chance then you are in the wrong. How are you gonna know who the best producer is if you don't open your mind and experiment?

  • /watch?v=Nw0VVWHonNs&playnext_from=TL&videos=RlxzCdN0nuI -----------&------------ watch?v=5I9mruX6VVU&playnext_from=TL&videos=d5PN_JdNkIQ. These are 2 tight tracks, 1 instrumental and 1 full remix by the Alkaholiks to help inspire anyone who ever thought Dr. Dre is/was an unfickwitable producer.

  • he may had come off creative and legit in the 90's. Yah, maybe up until 1999 he was unique and creative but after that he got desperate and started stealin from other producers. You truly believe that in our year of 2010 that dr. dre is still considered underground? That's almost like making a statement such as, "Tupac Shakur is underground" and Not a household name. Yeah right...sorry to tell you, but Dr. Dre is mainstream. /watch?v=j2nRcRSXA50&feature=related

  • /watch?v=YOvVgOzLGFI&feature=related does mr. almighty dr. dre make hip hop beats like this? You must turn the volume up to fully appreciate it. peace :-)

  • ayatollah (produced MsFatBooty by MosDef), DJ Spinna of Jigmastas, Kutmasta Kurt, Oddisee, NickWiz, J-Love, Organized Noize (outkast/goodiemob), and chicago producer MEMO of the MoleMen (responsible for the "gunz still hot Rmx" for Rasco/Edo G) are among my personal favorite producers. That's MY hip hop. Oh yes, and i much rather prefer Warren G beats over Dr. Dre beats. Remember that Warren G produced all the songs on Twinz lp titled "Conversation".

  • pretty much the same goes for DJ Premier. Preemo is HELLA nice but he was much nicer back in the 90's. DJ Premier is gettin very old and i'm sure he knows its time for him to pass the torch. Producers like BlackMilk, Blazo, 9th Wonder, M-Phazes from Australia, DAMU the fudgemunk of Y Society, Statik Selektah, along with a BUNCH of other producers around the World are trying to prove themselves worthy of carrying the same torch that Dr. Dre, Pete Rock, and Preemo did in the 90's.

  • Premier is way better then dre. theres alot better then dre: pete rock, rza, J Dilla to name a few off the top of the head. In my opinion.

  • Mega one of the only real rapper livingplease appreacate spread the word and listen

  • Legit.

  • this dude is under rated...real talk.... MEGA KEEP DOING UR THING MY GEE!!

  • premo is the best. rip guru

  • This one is vicious...

  • If you don't like this song you are a fucking retard

  • Preem is #1

  • Amazing track. Cant get no better than Premo and Cormega.

  • pure fire

  • Dj Premier is the best producer of all time. thats right....better than dre

  • @MurderMaSS420 Oh that's not even a question my dude! Not even a question!

  • @MurderMaSS420 u meen thats right better than pete rock and dilla(whats dre matter).I've always thought premier was so consistant but dilla and pete rocks beats got more soul.

  • @MurderMaSS420

    waaaaaay better than dre

  • @MurderMaSS420 Fuck that man he aint better than Dre,HES WAY THE FUCK better than Dre.Other Producers = PREMO'S toilet paper.!!!

  • @megadirt lmao, haha. My sentiments exactly. Great way to put it into perspective. ten thousand times better than dr. dre. i aint gonna hate on dre because dr. dre is the best mainstream/commercial producer but there are prolly 20 other producers i can name better than dr. dre.

  • ohh yeah sure whats next is lil wayne better than dre too

naw fuck you,dr dre is fucking funky the best 4 evver! and neve say never cuz dre take it to another level fuck the all others producers dont know shit bout music

  • @HardbezProductions dr. dre rarely ever wrote his own lyrics so that's difficult to answer. I'm not hating on dre, i'm just bringin the facts to the table. Dr. Dre is a biter and he steals ideas from underground hip hop katz. Like a very wise man said "Hip Hop STARTED in the underground, so it will REMAIN in the underground" Hip Hop is Universal now and there are prolly 50 producers today around the World who would put Dr. Dre to shame.

  • Well i love Premier Too

But If You Say That Dre Steals Song You Wrong

Cuz Every Producer Steals Song And Thats Called (Sample)

Producers Sample Song And Make It A little Different

Even Premier Sample Songs So Its That Means That He Stealing.

And Dr Dre Is Underground Too No Matter What People Says This Days

  • @HardbezProductions nononono, i mean dr. dre samples from CURRENT hip hop producers and tries to pass it as his own. He tries to put his own copyright on it and tricks people into thinking he's so creative. There's a song on Chronic 2001 that he stole from an unknown undergound producer. And then recently he stole an idea from RZA of WuTang cuz dr. dre made that song "crack a bottle" and RZA already released that to AesopRock & DELfonkyhomosapien.

  • Well RZA Stole The Beat From:

    Mike Brant-Mais Dans La Lumière.

And If Dre Stole An Idea From Other Rappers I Dont Give A Fuck Cuz I Know Its Not True An Dr Dre Will Alwayz Be The First And Number 1 FOR ME!

  • Comment removed

  • @MurderMaSS420 ur on crack....

  • @MurderMaSS420 dre sucks he shouldnt even be compared. compare premo to someone like dilla or 9th

  • @MurderMaSS420 they MIGHT be equivalent

  • @MurderMaSS420 agreed

  • @MurderMaSS420 Dj Premier is one of the best, but he samples too much on his hooks. He makes sick beats but they are kinda one dimensional. Dre isn't shit compared to what he used to be, but in my opinion dre at his best was untouchable, back in the day.

  • @LehmanAaron You're giving Dre way too much credit. DJ Premier has more classic songs attached to his name than any other producer ever, with the exception of the RZA. The sampling on his hooks is his signature, just like taking credit for other people's beats is Dre's signature. Dre has only produced two solo albums in almost 20 years, and only one of them is really worth talking about. Meanwhile, Primo made one of the best beats of 2008 ("Dirty Game") and this great beat in 2009.

  • thats the style of preem,n dont tell me that the hook scratches dont stick in ya head, dre at hes best is preemo lightworkin

  • @LehmanAaron fucking idiot...you are a pussy

  • @MurderMaSS420 is it even a question?!?! I have NEVER felt Dre's shit like I do Premier!!!! All the way back to Step in the Arena
