Nothing was dropped from the aircraft. All the explosions for the role demo are ground based. The aircrew fly the profiles and the pyrotechnic team produce the explosions.
The first four Tornado's landing were GR4's (short stubby nose and wing tanks), and the second lot were F3's (longer more elegant nose and no wingtanks).
Nice video. I never knew they did the Tactical Demo with 8 Tornado's. Maybe a Leuchars special? They only had 2 F3's and 2 GR4's when they did it at Cosford a couple of years ago. ALong with the usual Sentry/AWACS, Chinook and Hercules.
