but derek makes up the song with his energy. Real punk rock doesn't need great vocal it's all about the energy. And I think Derek is good. Look at the Ramones Joey didn't have the greatest voice but they became fmous how? because they had energy.

I totally agree. That wasn't my question, I'm looking for someone to objectively agree that they aren't very good live. I've seen numerous bands that I have deemed, "good live." And others that have been deemed "not good live." Sadly, it's looking like Mayday Parade might be the latter.

i agree with you. mayday parade is one of my favorite bands, but all of the live videos ive seen highly dissapoint me. I know that recording companies make it perfect, but i have seen many other bands that sound well live. To me, this actually sounds horribe, i think they need work when it comes to playing live. Im not saying i dont like the band, i love them, i just dont like them live

There one of my favourite bands, but from watching videos they dont seem too good, but then when i saw them live they were amazing. I think its mainly derek, he sounds un cormfortable on somesongs.

I really like this band, however i've been nothing but dissapointed in the live videos i've seen.

They sound awful! Can anyone intelligent comment on this. If you're a 15 year old biased teenage girl, don't bother responding. I want to hear from someone educated and unbiased about music.

when bands record tracks they do it with professional equipment in high tech sound booths and they do it over and over until it's perfect. added computer effects, voice overs (so the singer can sing two parts at once) and voice buffering (to make them sound better) all enhance the music.

when bands play live, you arent getting that perfection, you are getting the raw, straight forward music, its not going to sound perfect.
