I'm in a Skynyrd Tribute band that refuses to play anything post 1977... I feel like a fish outta water in this band cuz I know that Skynyrd lives on and on and on dispite what anyone thinks... TURN IT UP and play it like ya mean it !!! Anyone that gets the call is in it to win it !!!
@1dumtruckdriver Custer was really good, but he couldnt keep off the Coke and the other drugs. He had a bad problem and it was the band's best interest to let him go. I am glad they let him go, at least he was able to clean up his life and be a better man. I think Michael Cartellone is the best Drummer in the entire history of Lynyrd Skynyrd
@LynSkyn1981 Hi LynSkyn1981!! I recorded tis on a vhs tape off the pay per view.I re-recorded it onto another tape.I wished on would have put it on 100 tapes.I wore both tapes out.I recently found by accident a DVD of the concert! I am a happy man!!! This is by far the best concert I have ever seen! I got to meet JVZ on the Simple Man cruise and said I wish ya'll would play Born to Run more often,Johnny said we should! I was wondering if this is Lynette whom I just became frynds with on FB!?
whoever posted this video...THANK YOU!!! been looking for video to this song for a while. saw them in Charlotte, NC on the same tour. the piano solo made the hair on the back of my neck stand up...absolutely great song. RIP Billy!!
@joeyaudio Ed has health problems and he desided to retire., at one time Ed wanted to come back, but he had so many demands, so the band and their management desided to severe all ties with Mr King., at one point he was very demanding that He and Hughie Thomasson should never be on the same stage, if Ed was to rejoin. With respect to Mr King, i feel its best that he enjoys his retirement.
@rodrigos88, "The Last Rebel", IMO, is definitely there best post-Ronnie album, by far. The whole album is really awesome. There's one song in particular on the album called "Can't Take That Away". Never a truer song was written.
I have this whole concert still to this day taped on VHS the night it premiered on Pay Per View. What a great show. Especially with Peter Frampton and Charlie Daniels doing "Call Me The Breeze" with Skynyrd later on from this song in the show. I also saw them live on this tour in early 94' at Thompson Bowling Arena in Knoxville, Tn. They had Bad Company as their opening act and did almost the same exact set list that they did this night at the Fox.
where in the fuck did this song come from??? and why the fuck dont they play this shit on the radio. Disregard that the radio sucks i know it even over here in kansas where there aint shit else to do but look up porn or get on youtube am i right??? Whos with me man??
Words will never do justice to how much these old dudes rock. Just look at Billy go! What a goddam legend! I saw them in Manchester last weekend. Billy died before I saw them though. R.I.P dude.
Show some respect for these guys. Although most members nowadays did not form part of the original band, Skynyrd have outperformed greats like the Stones, Cream and Credence Clearwater Revival.
Yo steelers1457639 or what ever you call yourself....... lighten up. You don't have to be vulgar when you comment. It's a great song- much better than your boy springsteen's. All you have to do is listen to it. By the way, I turned down (4) "free" front row seats to his concert in Jersey because he sucks and I didn't want my family subjected to his garbage songs. Want to buy them- $1,000 per, $4K total.
AWESOME ! Billy SLAMMIN' on the ivories !
