In the 1980s, the Palm Springs Cal. area only had ABC and NBC affiliates serving their market: KESQ 3/42 and KMIR 6/36. CBS came out of El Centro Cal. on KECY-TV and The Disney Channel also came out of El Centro Cal. but on KWHQ-TV (now an ind. station). In some cases, KCBS, KNBC, and KABC were 2 hours behind, a few years later, they were blocked due to FCC regulations. KYEL 13 and KWUN 58 from Yuma Az were an hour away with their programming separate from KECY 9 and KWHQ 67.
Wow.. you don't happen to have The Roots of Goofy recorded, do you? I used to have the video as a child, but it broke and I remembered it recently, and I'm so gutted. I really want to see it again. :(
