  • Simply awesome! I have an authentic too - are you using m550's on there? I love the tone but they're tough to play. I'm using JP's now which seem to have a little less tension. Did you have yours set up to lower the action? It appears very playable. BTW, are you in southeast PA? I think I may know you from umgf.

  • good job man! sounds spot on.. do u shave ur hands?

  • This is amazing.

  • Enjoyed this a lot thank you, greetings from rainy UK! I'm going to pick up my guitar now and try and learn it :)

  • @chrismcrowe Hey Chris, thanks so much for taking the time to listen and leave a comment. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Good luck in the rain and have fun working it up. I think you'll find that it is pretty straight forward. have fun and post your version when you get it done. Thanks again.

  • great picking!

  • @thomassneade Hey Thomas, thanks for the kind words and taking the time to listen. I appreciate it.

  • Very good pickin' Great post. Tempo is fine for lyrics! Some young ones forget that the pickin is fast and the words are a bit slower. Listen some of the earlier live and session takes.

  • @augfretter Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to stop and listen. Guitar players do seem to speed things up. Someday I'll get around to laying down a slower version. It is a fun tune to play. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • I like your version, Id love to sing to it but its a bit too fast for singing to. If you should ever post a slower version i would like your permission to overdub it with my vocal track and post it on youtube. 5 stars

  • @namnoiz Sounds good, I sent you a pm as well. I'll try and put a more background styled video up in the next couple of weeks. I'll slow it down too. Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. I'll work on getting that going for you.

  • No doubt you have it in your blood.

Soon i will post and send you my version.

    All the best From France

  • I don't know about that, it still seems like a lot of work to me...lol. I look forward to hearing/seeing your version. Put it up as a video response. I really enjoyed your version of Deep River Blues. Keep them coming. Take care.

  • Really nice picking - well done! I too have tried to do a Chet Akins version of this song; you'll find it on my channel. I jumble it up with Ralph McTell's Streets of London.

  • Hey Egmond, thanks for the kind words and I will have to check out your version. I loosely patterned this version after the Chet Atkins version, but I wound up making some pretty radical changes. It's fun to play though.

  • good work jmstern22, wonderful playing i was wondering if you'd learnt this from tab or sheet or by ear? couldn't send me the chords if i listen enough i can pick up the picking pattern thank you, keep playing

  • Hey 0oo, thanks for taking the time to listen and leave a comment. This is one of my favorite tunes. Unfortunately, this is one I figured up so I don't have any tabs or chord charts for this tune. I actually wind up playing it slightly different each time I play it. It's in the Key of C, for the chords are C, F, G, Am and there is a D7 hiding in there. That should get you started.

  • Nice one mate, this one's always great craic. Keep her lit!

  • Thanks for taking the time to listen and leave a comment. I really appreciate it. I'll do my best to "keep her lit".

  • very nice!!

  • Thanks again for the comments. I like this tune, it is a real blast to play. Glad you liked it and thanks for taking the time to comment.
