(I know you probably hear that a ton, but let me tell you I really mean it :D ) You have gotten me very interested in makeup as art, and I was wondering... what basics to you reccomend, not like a specific brand, but like eyeshadow, blush... etc. Also, what age did you start makeup? I feel that I might not be quite old enough? :/

@chartreuseserpent For basics I would recommend (for eyeshadow) the 102 Pallet from Celia Makeup. a primer, foundation brush, blush brush, eyeliner brush, "c" shaped brush, (for blusher if your just starting and need to keep the price down you can use the eye shadows for blush). Other than that I would just recommend a foundation, Kohl eyeliner and mascara :) Hope that helps :)

@chartreuseserpent I started wearing makeup regularly at 16-17.

Personally I would never recommend makeup for anyone under 12 as at that age they do not need it (and I think people should enjoy childhood while they still can).

One thing I can't stress enough is that makeup should NEVER be a mask to hide behind, makeup is meant to express your personality and/or enhance your best features.

If you are just as confident going outside with a bare face as a full face of makeup then you are ok :)

I am 15, (almost 16) and would rather wear funky makeup than stuff to hide my facial flaws. I personally find it very boring if you use makeup for the sole purpose just to make your face look "perfect". I just needed an idea about basics because I had absoultely no clue!! @Yanayang124 Yes :) What you can do is (if you have strait hair) curl your hair, loop the base of the hair like I did and just weave the rest of the hair through the other curls (you can either pin the ends down or leave them loose). Hope that helped :)
