I mean seriously... it's a lightbox. Why couldn't one have a single non-linear environment to browse the content?! What's with the tiny flipping pages? Why are the pages all stacked up like that... you've got a navigator in the swipe which shows you how many pages you've got an where you are. This is criminally bad interaction design with brilliant hardware. Look at how much screen they've wasted! Gimmicky dryness for sure sure...
I suspect this is a kodak stand people, this isn't surface goodness for sure, this is snake-oil badness, the equivalent of driving up the stairs to the supermarket in a ferrari using specially designed stair shaped wheels.
Check out microsoft second light for cool stuff. Yars.
@bishopdante its not even a booklet. there arent any pages. and whats so confusing about it ? all you have to do is flick or swipe.
Whether you like it or not, these are going to appear more often...
Sufrace enabled credit cards are going to start being used (unless surface can already read current credit cards) in many businesses and restaurants so you can pay using surface by placing the credit card on Surface.
btw surface wasnt made for home use, its intended for busnesses and devs.
I'm not knocking surface, but I am certainly knocking this *particular* application of it. It's using some very heavyweight tech in a horribly lightweight way, and TBH for their purpose they'd have been better off with a lightweight solution.
Multitouch is amazing. However, this instance of multitouch is the opposite of amazing, it's pretty fully joky. What a waste of a surface! Those are so expensive!

The app is bad design.
A physical object (booklet) which has to go on a big device... which gives you a miniature virtual booklet with a confusing page turn?
Fail.
It's equivalent to people driving an SUV to a gym to run on a treadmill. Totally bogus in spades, gimmicky dumb
