  • Legend!

  • You aint wrong there mate :-)

1980's Rule when it comes to most things, It proper guts me seeing these wicked OldSkool programmes cause theres no going back :-( Respect!

  • loved that show! amazing! :)

  • It's not just the comedy of Stanley Baxter we in Britain were blessed with. Hancock/

Kenneth Williams/ The Goons/ Benny Hill

Morcambe & Wise/ Monty Python/ Dick Emery / Eric Sykes to name just a few. American comedy has always been shit

Bilko/ Hogans Heroes/ I love lucy / Johnny Carson/ Dick Van Dyke Show.

This is the one dimensional pile of sick is what the US offered us in GB when I was growing up. But alas money talks and our comedy heroes either faded away or sold out.

  • I'm and American who learned about Stanley Baxter in 1978, due to PBS, here in California, from the moment I saw Baxter, I knew a lot about how blessed you are in the UK to have this talent.

  • im from the uk, not too familiar with him though

  • He is the best comic talent we have had frankly. His shows were legendary in their scope and scale.

  • The interviewer looks strangely like Caroline Quentin.

  • Baxter is a really talented and funny guy. He's returning with a new one off comedy christmas show for 2008. I'll certainly look forward to this.

  • Its funny that this would be unthinkable to make now lol an old man alone with 2 kids in his windmill.

  • I used to love that show!! I had a crush on Melanie... TO THINK THAT WAS 20 YEARS AGO!!

  • Just watched the b&w comedy movie 'very important person' with stanley' and cant believe i remembered his name (im 43). What a genius. God bless him! he was THE best!

  • such a strange little idea for a tv program, from back in the day where there was real soul. I remember this being such an enjoyable program as a child. searching for the video or dvd if there ever was one.

  • HES NOT DEAD.

  • Indeed! He's in a radio play on Radio 4 this week. Where do these rumours come from?

  • It's a shame he's dead like. I've got the video of Mr Majeika. It's a classic film.

  • Thats going to come as a surprise to Stanley

  • hehehe i love it when people claim someone still living has passed away

  • @eastwardtv

Yeah he ain't dead. Thank God!

  • Stanley Baxter what a great man ! thank you for posting video ! great star ! and other stars in that time like dick emery and benny hill and morecombe and wise !and more !
