ESPN's Peter Gammons believes the Angels and Red Sox have joined the Yankees and Brewers in making offers to CC Sabathia.

Of course, he also believes Oliver Perez could still accept arbitration from the Mets (plus, he has John Kruk saying it now). Gammons adds that he doesn't necessarily see the Angels going to six years for Sabathia. He acknowledges that the Yankees are still in it, and he expects the Giants to make their bid sooner or later.

Brad Lidge isn't even close. The guy pitches 1 inning of baseball at a time, it's easy to go out there and throw as hard as you want for 20-30 pitches on a bad night. Sorry, but if you end the year with 60-70 innings pitched, you shouldn't even be considered for Cy Young.

he's gonna get tired and will be nothing in the postseason

Actually studies show that pitch count has nothing to do with tiring out or injuries... Otherwise, how would Relief Pitchers get injured, or get tired late in the year? It's all about conditioning. CC is conditioned to throw 130+ pitches a game. Pitchers in the seventies threw 150+ a game easy.. so I don't understand why people think throwing a complete game should be all that hard, hell, Cy Young almost never "didn't" Pitch a complete game every time..
