@d820m I couldn't find anything on Pony Time, by Chubby Checker, being A cover. You don't happen to mean "the Twist"? The Twist was written and released in 1959 by Hank Ballard. AND, sung by Hank and his group called THE MOONLIGHTERS. IT was also on the B-SIDE of that 45rpm record. The A-side had TEARDROPS ON YOUR LETTER. Ballard's TWIST only made it to #8 on the Billboard's Top 100.
