@poslettispaghetti UFC charges $60 for a PPV each and they most likely get about at least a couple million people that buy the PPV event which is over $100million bucks right there and that doesn't even include the people that go to the events that pay up to $5000 for a good seat. I'd like to see a ligit amatuer circuit, but he wants to wipe out amatuer mma instead of fixing the problems. The problem I have with mma being an Olympic sport, realistically, it won't be recognizable to most mma fans. It would appeal to me, but I (selfishly) don't want to hear the average fan cry about the butchery of mma.

Competition in the industry is better for the fighters. Without SF, most fighters would be out of jobs. Competition promotes higher paychecks. And in the long run (though not immediately), fans will be higher quality fights.
Dana has done great for the UFC and the MMA world so far. However, I am not sure if the one-company model he promotes is in the interest of the fighters.

Personally I see the next TuF season as a way for the UFC to revamp Chuck and or Ortiz images. Chuck lost 4 out of his last 5 but people know him and want him to make a comeback. @poslettispaghetti UFC charges $60 for a PPV each and they most likely get about at least a couple million people that buy the PPV event which is over $100million bucks right there and that doesn't even include the people that go to the events that pay up to $5000 for a good seat. They make a killing and pay the fighters not even close to what they should make. The UFC did a great job to build the sport but now they are just holding the sport back in view.

@devrobbiz I don't think it's extreme at all, as he wasn't always that way. He was a good guy, now he's trying to be superstar himself instead of pushing the sport. I'd like to see a ligit amatuer circuit, but he wants to wipe out amatuer mma instead of fixing the problems. The problem I have with mma being an Olympic sport, realistically, it won't be recognizable to most mma fans. It would appeal to me, but I (selfishly) don't want to hear the average fan cry about the butchery of mma.

Competition in the industry is better for the fighters. Without SF, most fighters would be out of jobs. Competition promotes higher paychecks. And in the long run (though not immediately), fans will be higher quality fights.
Dana has done great for the UFC and the MMA world so far. However, I am not sure if the one-company model he promotes is in the interest of the fighters.

I dunno man people change according to what's presented and timing is a big deal in business. Sometimes fights are hot sometimes not. Personally I see the next TuF season as a way for the UFC to revamp Chuck and or Ortiz images. Chuck lost 4 out of his last 5 but people know him and want him to make a comeback. Ortiz lost to Griffin on his debut but now gets to coach again so he'll be back in everyone's tv regularly. Maybe he can appeal to all the people Rampage turned off last season.
