PamelaMarxen, and Videos by Kikopup are AWESOME training videos. I have used their methods with both of my aussies and they have really blossomed from the clicker training method they both use. Check out their videos! I have a 9 mo. old blue merl " Comet" and a 4 month old female black tri " Fancy" They are so smart and fun!! Your aussie is old enough to start some of the training now! Enjoy thats a beautiful pup for sure!!

All dogs are good it all depends on how you care for them and the behavior of the specific dog. Mixed breeds are just as good as purebreds. But yes as far as specific breeds go I love Australian Shepherds.

@manaTs4ever I hope that you take him for walks in the woods as often as possible. I have three blue merles, two classic tri's and a black and tan tri. I have a visiting black and tan try for the weekend who is the brother and son of my dogs. It looks like I will get another extremely beautiful blue merle back which I sold my friend. I had a hard time letting her go but I didn't want to get her back in this manner. I feed my dogs VERY good food which helps a lot to keep them healthy.

Training starts the day you bring your puppy home! It should be introduced in a non-coorsive way when they are young, then take them to puppy kindergarten at 12 weeks! If nothing else, at 6 months it will need to go to formal obedience classes, and not just one! You still have tome to correct this error before it grows into problems. Good luck, and remember to take him to obedience classes right away!

Yes He went to puppy obedience when he was 11 weeks and now he is finishing up advanced beginner class (he is 6 1/2 months)

He is adorable!! You can start training all the equipment but the key is to keep things LOW and dont work him really hard, cant wait to see the agility vids =)

He's a cutie! I would hold off on the agility until he is a year of age, to allow time for his growth plates to close. Of course you could begin obedience, tunnels, and board work whenever! Good luck! We are hoping to see more videos from you two! =)
