The silly acting kind of got to me as well. It is a very somber song, I believe is the adjective you were looking for. Kind of ruined the mood. That being said, you don't know who his audience was and that can affect whether he's comfortable simply leaving it as somber or not.

I know who his audience was - it included some of his family members and other people he knew quite well. I think his goofiness is his way of showing off his personality and flavour while still singing really well, and I think it was his decision whether to leave it as somber or not. Either way, it still sounds good.

This is a very beautiful and serious song. The harmony is rare and wonderful, but I don't understand why the one young man found the need to demean the song by acting foolish,and disrespectful. If he hadn't behaved in that manner, I could see a record company being interested in them as a duo!It's very unsettling to hear the laughter when you are just listening to the song without the video.
