  • the debt is a lead weight on the country and could drown us. beware!

  • lol the ghost of 1992 :)

  • @lucius1976 - No problem with that just that they forgot to get the UK people's consent. It is called "DEMORACY"

  • Of course the EU is more than a international organization. Its aim always was to form a "ever closer union". This they stated even back in in the treaties of rome back in 1957!. Decades before the UK joined. So, whats so suprising in the Lisbon Treaty? It just one more step in that direction. Obviously the UK didn´t bother to read the Treaties of Rome when in joined in 1973.

  • Ian Taylor should just join the Labour party where he belongs the pointless toss!

  • i'm not sure how it would be the same as gordon brown reneging on a referendum because how can you have a referendum on a treaty that's already been ratified? frankly i'd expect andrew neil and the bbc to have more knowledge in this area.

  • There've already mentioned that. Saying it may be to late for a Lisbon Treaty but not any other 'treatys'.

  • Voting is a sham as the system is rigged to only have the main parties in power, which are the different masks on the same face. The EU is merely a stepping stone in the globalist agenda. Research the new world order.

  • I'm sad to see people believing in absurd fairy tales. You 'NWO' people don't trust anything or anyone BUT YOU DO trust crazy conspiracy videos, websites and people like hate mongering Alex Jones.

If you for example want to know something about the Lisbon Treaty, then just READ the Lisbon Treaty.

  • So you've read it then? Please impart your knowledge.

As an alternative you could read 1984 instead. It tells you all you need to know without a conspiracy theory in sight.

  • Oh please... you can't compare the EU to 1984... Where's the lone ruler? Where's the one and only political party? Where's the cruelty and the torture?

Please tell me, do you really think the UKIP views the EU as an example of George Orwell's 1984?

Do you think UKIP views 'the new world order' as a reality?

At least I've never heard them make any 'new world order' remarks, perhaps the UKIP is just fishing in the pool of conspiracy theorists...

  • So our readers now know that you haven't read either the Lisbon treaty or 1984............

  • Oh noes! Your readers know now, don't they!!! I must look like such a hypocrite!

Oh please... I don't really expect you to answer the question, but your arguments for the UK leaving the EU; because it 'costs so much' and the 'UK is losing all it's sovereignty' and all - those arguments I've heard. Lots of people on You Tube though believe in 'the new world order' - hundreds of video's about it. So, a simple question: Do you think UKIP views 'the new world order' as a reality, yes or no?

  • I don't know what 'UKIP' thinks as it is a collection of many people so perhaps you are in a better position to enlighten us?

As I don't watch 'conspiracy videos', again tell us what you think?

Is there a 'new' order in the world?

If you have some very powerful organisations, (UN EU NAFTA plus the numerous quangos, N.G.O.'s, climate change lobby and fake taxpayer funded charities), that have a similar world view; all networking and working together for a particular agenda, does this add up?

  • "Is there a 'new' order in the world?"

Yes, it's not a time anymore where only one country gets a real say in the world, like for example the British empire in it's time; or until recently the US. Now also China, India, Brazil, etc.

want to have their say in the world. This leads inevitably to conflicts of interest in which only big players count. If a small country wants to protect their interests they need to team up with others who share the same interests.

Now I know UKIP doesn't think...

  • Why is Kenneth Clarke revered so much at the Conservative conference. He is responsible for giving disastrous advice to the incompetent John Major and Lamont that caused the Black Wednesday mess and gave Labour twelve years of power.

  • Why is Dan Hannan not coming out explicitly againt the Lisbon treaty. Is he trying to appear to in line with his party?

  • Because Hannan is a gutless prick! He's a waste of skin and it's sick that the rest of us have to share our air with him. If I could get within 50 feet of this dick I would kick him so hard in the nuts he would need a dentist to remove them!

For all the comments he has on the EU he should be voting for UKIP (I did) but he won't run with them because they have less chance of getting him elected (and into power) than the conservatives. He would join the green party if they had the edge.

  • "the European economy" " make things better for all its citizens"

sorry tory, we ARE NOT CITIZENS OF EUROPE

Bloody hell, the tory party isnt giving me one single reason to vote for them.

    want a choice? Vote UKIP

  • Hannan should switch to UKIP, would be a huge gain for both (I think).

  • Andrew Neil is a disgrace as an interviewer! He should go back to hugging Asian babes, put up and shut up.

  • Mr Lamont, you helped destroy this country under the guidance of the people you were working for. You did your job as an MP and then went back to your Rothschild bank. Then you recieved honours for your role. Many things spring to mind but tyranny is top of the list. Don't trust any of these snakes to become the next government of Britiain. We will just get more of the same. Completely screwed. Vote for real change. Vote UKIP.

  • so, this pro eu tory thinks us asking for the right and freedom of choice is wrong?

  • Boris Johnson is a comedy genius!

  • Guys im probably a bit thick, but didnt gordon brown sign this treaty a while back?. Forgive me for getting confused, but i bet im not the only one lol :D

  • Sorry, the general idea in the West is that forced marriages like this Lisbon scam are not valid.

  • He did sign it, but he didn't allow the British public to decide on the matter even though he promised he would. Now, ironically, Tony Blair is tipped for EU President. It's all so fishy.

  • The 8 years, refers to the Debt, 3 years to the defecit in actual spending, which is miniscule in comparison to the debt. I know he says it badly, but he makes it clear the the defecit is a separate item adding to the debt. However, he's wrong, it's easy to cut the defecit and most spending in 3 Readings, The debt on the other hand, even with anarchist levels of government reduction is somewhere at 50 years to reduce, haha, suckers should vote UKIP, not LibLabCon.

  • "concentrate on the big issues"

Yeh, the economy in the UK, so leave the EU and save a shit load of cash!

  • exactly, we are cutting down by what a few dozen million for each area, cut that 10billion paycheck, we would be able to increase spending on the NHS, the military, police, can start up the fishing trade again (which lets face it, has taken nothing else then a kicking to the nakkers since we joined the EU)

  • that hannan guy is a traitor to his own people.. or just a brainwashed naive guy.

  • happosai, you are the idiot here.
