Hes black he has an advantage lol, he has more type II muscle fibers thats why black people tend to look more muscular and tend to be naturally stronger but still he is stronger as fuck
@kenny01622 Darker skin shows definition better than lighter skin. Why do you think white bodybuilders bronze themselves like crazy before a competition? It has nothing to do with fiber types. Stop lying and spreading nonsense. Oh, and all the world's most powerful strength/power athletes are white guys.
@MrRobert1793 work up to it mate...don't just go balls out trying to lift it if yor not ready..You'll permanently stop all lifting for good probably otherwise.
weight lifting in general does damage to tendons, ligaments etc...BUT, they adapt just like muscles do, just take a bit longer...yes...they do adapt to the stresses placed on them. With that being said people without knowledge on exercise physiology should probably keep their mouth shut...do what works for you player and keep up the good work.
wow crazy. good looking squats on youtube. I would cut them off a little earlier though, when the top of the acetabulum drops below the top of the patella, that is plenty of depth and you're better served by adding more weight at that point.
nice squats man, thats right around where im at. nice depth good to see people still go deep instead of throwing 500 lbs and lifting it with there knees. another thing people say thats not correct form my solution to that is if it doesnt hurt ur body then its ok. personal experience and listening to ur body will teach u more than any of those stupid scholarly sources and studies
I love how everyone on youtube thinks they're a personal trainer. Those squats looked great. Keep it up dude. I would invest in some weightlifting shoes though. Those tennis shoes are squishy and not very stable.
ok, couple things right off the bat. shouldnt be pushing through toes on squats, should be all heels. second, dont go so deep your hips tuck under and your bumb pulls under, REALLy bad for your lower back, second your eccentric phase should be controlled and not sloppy, if your a body builder, weight shouldnt matter anyways, thats secondary.
@homotang1 Bouncing at the bottom of your squat is what leaves your knees vulnerable <-sp? to be injured actually. If you dont agree you should maybe read some books. However good effort, deep is good. You just need to work on your heel drive and your lower back!
@RyanCampbell223 Like I said, try learning how to actually squat. Learn how the body works, try and learn something from a credible source and not youtube retards... I dont understand why your so mad at the fact that bouncing is dangerous... It just is... your gonna have to accept that... Cheating like that is gonna leave you injured
some of you guys are retarded, he gets that bounce because he is strong and has good control over his muscles. if you can't get that you're just jealous cuz it easily adds like 50lb to your squat.
@beefy5252 squats period do damage to the knees, that's why you get your tendons and joints to adapt over time...yes they adapt just like muscles do, just takes a bit longer. With that being said people who worry too much to say without knowledge on exercise physiology should keep their mouth shut.
@tmcdougald get off me. knees won't adapt if you bounce like a mother fucker. constant strain on the tendons can cause micro tears which can result in a torn tendon. not my type of injury to go through. ps. blow me
@beefy5252 they can result in micro tears, which is how muscles and tendons get stronger in the first place, assuming you give them the proper amount of rest, stretching, lifting, running all cause trauma and micro-tears that's how the body adapts dumbass so what's your fuckin point? we're leaving out a million variables like rest, which is the most important, before you wanna quack at the throat know wtf you're arguing about and make a valid point before you think you told somebody something...
not bad braa, i think you're going about low enough, maybe try to make it more controlled - no bounce at the bottom and try to keep the weight away from the toes
yo, just wondering. if you can squat 320 for 3 reps, what is ur max. im just curious cuz im right where u are (dion 320 for a set of three). I have a max day at school next week and im just wonderin what i can expect. thanks
there are olympic squats, and power squats, no such thing as a full squat, you are performing an olympic squat, (narrow grip, narrow stance) dropping down and bouncing up, olympic lifters when they clean & jerk the weight crashes down on them in a front squat and they bounce it up, thats why what your doing is called an olympic squat
hey man the form is perfect...especially for a heavy squat. i like how we got these ppl whose workout prob consists of typing saying that u arent doing it right. i try to rep out on squats with 225, and god knows that shit aint easy! i aint even tried 315 yet! good job bro
Those were 4 damm good squats. Not sure what you mean about not full squats. You are going down more than far enough unlike a lot of people who go down like 1/4 of the way. Keep it up.
Yea man, I having problems doing that. I think it might be my shoes, but I not exactly sure, because then again it could be my feet- I'm completely flat-footed, I have no arch whatsoever. any advice?
Are you sure your hams are weak and not your glutes? Because from that video you have really nice form and a good amount of weight, I'd imagine you need some pretty strong hamstrings to hit it like that
the squats are very good. regarding your other listed exercises for the day, switch pull-downs for some pull-UPS. they recruit all of your back muscles much better.
are your heels coming off the ground a little bit ? anyway, good work

If you are doing close stance oly squats, you might want a shoe with a higher heel. Other than that, all you can do is just drill it.
jmaster876 4 years ago
1.get some converse allstars or wrestling shoes. tennis shoez compress and throw you off
2 go wider and sit back into it, break at the hips before the knees
3 as you go down push the knees out and keep the back tight and arched
4 drive it through the ground. lather rinse repeat lol
