  • What is a lifter?

  • You cast at 10 clock.. drift it until 2 o clock, and give it a light lift up.. fish a hole where you know the fish are taking a breather. Its not hard. And that is how you fish for salmon in the salmon river, Pulaski, NY. In fact, I'll be there tomorrow through sunday, maybe youll see me at Orwell Brook.

  • It may be legal, but it doesn't make it ethical. Now go do your homework little boy and stop trying to talk with the grown-ups.

  • @theonetense You say I was wrong for two reasons...1. Where did I mention King Salmon??? And 2. Where did I say that spawning salmon eat? You dare to question my intellect and fishing knowledge with this pathetic arguement???

And further to your babbling response, I still ask the question...What pleasure can be had in snagging a half dead salmon? Nothing changes from my first post.

  • bunch of sick pigs... id crack em with my 30.06 from 100 yards up river

  • @theonetense Yes snagging for spawning Kokanee salmon is legal in Colorado, to reduce the number of dead carcasses. But, I disagree with this practice. Firstly, what pleasure can be had from snagging a half-dead salmon with a treble hook? Also, the carcasses play a big part in keeping the river healthy, and also provide food for bears, eagles, and other wildlife.

It may be legal, but it doesn't make it ethical.

  • @deanborg0062 You my friend are a moron. I would leave it at that but unfortunately it would not suffice in explaining your horrendous logic. And apparently a bad fisherman as well. Do not start a battle of intellect with me, you will embarrass yourself horribly :) It does not matter how loud you are, your'e still wrong for two reasons....1. Spawning salmon do not eat.

  • @deanborg0062 That is one of the reasons they die shortly after copulation. Its a fact, like gravity. You are an idiot, and a liar. I bet your mother regrets your birth on a daily basis. 2. You speak of King salmon and that is not the subject here. Try and keep up.

  • Wow... What great angling ethics

  • Snaggers piss me off. It's illegal here in MI but they still do it blatantly. I've talked to the DNR and they could care less, they say it doesn't matter since they're dying anyway. What part of FLIES don't you understand?

  • @blu3synth What part of "spawning" don't YOU understand. Salmon do not eat while spawning therefore they will not bite at a fly. I love fly fishing, but i also like catching fish so good luck trying to catch spawning kokaneese on a fly rig you total douche bag....

  • @theonetense It's called instinct bite. Fish investigate things with their mouths, and if you throw a flashy, bright coloured fly in their face enough times, they'll strike out of aggression. I've caught over a hundred kings this way. They do bite, you just have to be above a certain level of intelligence.

  • Wow that one dumb fucktard is wading right where the fish are!

  • the reason the little black and the turn to the black hole are closed is because the dsr bought the property u can fish it u just have to pay 45 dollars a day if u don't know what ur talking about stfu snaggers don't keep the fish if its foul hooked let it go u people amaze me every fish is getting snagged they aren't eating u just have to snag them in the mouth fools

  • hell i would close it too if there was a shit load of people snagging salmon in there... we have enough of a problem with commercial fisherman.... dont add to it..... if u cant fish legal then dont fish.... u would be surprised how many fish u can get fishing legal..... hell i get more legal than i ever could snagging.... just think about it folks....

  • @thomascook146 snagging is not always illegal fucker. I do it every year "legally" in colorado so stfu

  • dude this is some bs. i fish that river all the time.and i get harrased by the dec every time im there, but these fuckers are gettin a way with snagging. honestly u prob shouldnt call ur self a fisherman if u snag em. wheres the fun and skill in that. if i c that shit this season im b 1 800 the dec cuz thats bs

  • @joshjj2010 there aren't dec they work for the people who own the property fool

  • Guys must be pretty desperate to fish to put up with that crowd. Where's a good snarly grizzly when you need him? :)

  • i hate snaggers, they are no skill fisherman

  • That's not why it's closed! If you have a problem... Call dec when you see them....

  • @mrnemo105 I was told it was the lack of respect for that section of river which was owned by the residents which caused the river to be closed. If you know otherwise please share. Thanks.

  • The area I used to fish in southern Ontario is now closed for the same reason. Idiots.

  • snaggers and litterbugs, i hate them the most.

  • @dutchdutch41 really? i hate niggers the most

  • @supraTT2jze stupid/ignorant

  • @supraTT2jze and i hate Bigots..

  • Isn't that owned by the ex senator Bradley?

  • Salmon River, Ny. Due to the above filmed crowd, this section of river was closed to the public and remains closed.

  • @rsnowhite to bad the water itself is not private. As soon as you step foot into the water and this includes the high water mark its Federally owned.

  • Is this in NY?

  • I think us who play the game fair have to stop wasting time calling these guys assholes ( even if they are total ones) and just call the MNR when we see em.

  • that was a fun hole to fish too, i was wondering why it all of a sudden became private

  • Fuckin posers.. I hope one of em falls into a hidden pool.

  • stupid ass yuppies!!!!
