Unless you're an illegal alien, or run an illegal farm, go ahead I guess, but the data is taken aggregately, no one is singled out, and the data isn't handed over to canada revenue, it isn't handed over to anyone except as the sum of its parts. Most people have as much data or more open on their Facebook page. Shut up, be polite, fill it out online (5 minutes) or on paper (10) then find something else to piss and moan about for 5 years.

For the space cadet to say that the mandatory census yields accurate information is a farce. I, and many people I know regularly lie on the census, whether long or short. Further, I refuse to answer questions I find offensive, such as those relating to race/language/ethnicity/religion, and tell them rather to f#$% off. (I could simply lie on those questions too, but I want them to know I find it offensive.)

businesses decide where they can set up shop becuase they can see where they can tap into their target market, or see if the local workforce has the skills they need, it helps school districts understand their students better, and allows spending to be targeted and efficient.
You can't figure out where need to go if you can't see where you are.

The census matters - it allows policies to benchmark their progress (ie climate change by looking at how many of us walk, bike or use transit for work instead of drivng alone), and if efforts to make it easier to ride transit are working, it helps
Stop wasting our tax dollars on census. The Romans originally used the census for taxation purposes. The government already has taxation covered. So they only need the census to COUNT the population and they don't need it for anything else.
