  • It makes me remember the poem of Rabbie Burns: "What can a young lassie do wi' an auld man?"

  • Andy,I'm sure you're a good lad but consider yourself totally ignorant in the nuances of Irish Folk music.

  • lol I just got back from a trip to Lourdes of all the places to first hear this song...as it goes...sitting around at night way a wee drink and a sing song and a fella gets up to sing this song....BUT it wasn't just any ole fella...twas the PARISH PRIEST lol I almost went to hell laughing so fucking hard lol

  • This is possibly the dirtiest, most suggestive Irish song ever written.

    XD

  • happy St Pats to all

  • Hehe i love this song, but i prefer the Corries version.

  • Without Luke? Nah, LK rules.

  • Simmoo 303 speaks the truth

  • @khrvatska17 Me as well. This is a lot of fun, and Luke Kelly was an exciting performer, but the Corries' version sounds like they're having a good time--and it's smoother than this too. Don't anybody get me wrong, please: I like this, but the Corries' version is far better.

  • @endora60 What? Ya must be jokin!! The Corries version in no way compares to this. They're nice singers but no more than that. Luke was a genius, one of the greatest folk singers of all time! Jeez I'm in shock here!! What?
