Another great song that gets any party going. Too funny, LOL. And that story about the priest by aingeal15th... I was in a HEAP LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. The priest aswell!
lol I just got back from a trip to Lourdes of all the places to first hear this song...as it goes...sitting around at night way a wee drink and a sing song and a fella gets up to sing this song....BUT it wasn't just any ole fella...twas the PARISH PRIEST lol I almost went to hell laughing so fucking hard lol
@khrvatska17 Me as well. This is a lot of fun, and Luke Kelly was an exciting performer, but the Corries' version sounds like they're having a good time--and it's smoother than this too. Don't anybody get me wrong, please: I like this, but the Corries' version is far better.
@endora60 What? Ya must be jokin!! The Corries version in no way compares to this. They're nice singers but no more than that. Luke was a genius, one of the greatest folk singers of all time! Jeez I'm in shock here!! What?
My dad used to sing this when I was about eight. I didn't understand it until much later!

This is possibly the dirtiest, most suggestive Irish song ever written.
