I knew right away people would bash the auto! LOL I love mine. You should repeat the video in "manual" mode. Shifts are not faster but are more aggressive. I've broke the tires lose into 2nd and 3rd with this so called crapy automatic. Though,...you better be prepared to drive like your racing in manual mode cause it shifts the same no matter if you have your foot in it or not...can be annoying.

It's STANDARD dual-clutch Automatic transmissions with gear shifters on the steering wheel on all of those Supercars fellas. Faster and more precise. Used to not be true, but it is now. Sorry to burst your bubble.

@DoctorJhoefling Lamborghini still offers all of their models, at least up to 2011 because i do not know the stats on the Merc replacement, in a standard 6 speed manual gearbox... And i hope this never changes because it is pure driving at its core! Also Ferrari is an exception because they do not have an automatic kick over, it is 100% flappy paddles 100% of the time, which keeps people involved in the process of driving... Driving full automatic is backhanding Motorsports.

@WESTWOODBEATS I've owned an '08 EVO X MR and by far that transmission was more of a manual than the auto in the Z. Not saying it's bad at all but a full auto has a torque converter and the TC-SST has a pair of clutches. Big diff to me when I got my 370z was I could clutch kick and launch in 2nd if I want to. :)

Its true, the 7speed paddle shift automatic transmission is faster than the synchrorevmatching 6spd in the 1/4mile. I couldn't believe it until i read car & driver. The only problem with the auto is the slow double down shift when braking around corners. The guy in this video is not using the paddles, for some reason. Wierd
